Starts out about feats at first level with backgrounds with both the Knights of Solamnia and the Mages of High Sorcery.

Plus another free feat just for Dragonlance because your in a war.

Encounters are made harder too.

It then covers the knights about how they are blamed

I'm curious how much more difficult the encounters will actually be from baseline, but apparently the designers think they'll be difficult enough to warrant an extra feat.

Actually there are two extra feats, on in first level and one "later". Without counting the background feat (either the fixed feat for the two BGs in the book, or the feat from the list for the standard background)
3 extra feats, yeah this campaign must be though.

Oh? I thought the background feat was the 1st level feat. Or you can choose another if you dint take the background.

Per the UA Heroes of Krynn document they released, you get 1 free feat for selecting the Knight of Solamnia background which can be used to take the Squire of Solamnia feat. You could also take the Squire feat if you're a Fighter or Paladin at level 4 if you chose a feat instead of ability score increase. The other 3 Knight feats (Crown, Sword, Rose) all required level 4 and the Squire Feat. That's from the UA document, which I think I remember reading they've added Ranger to the classes able to become knights also and it sounds like the level 1 feat is free for everyone playing in this adventure regardless of background due to the difficulty.

Schneider did say you could conceivably get all 3 Knight feats, which would make sense if you took the Knight background with Squire Feat at level 1, Crown Knight feat at level 4, Sword Knight at level 6, and Rose Knight at level 8 which would cover the level 1-10 level range the adventure in the book will cover.

The background feat is the extra feat. You get two: one at 1st and one at 4th. They specifically mention that if you don't take the Knight or Mage backgrounds you still get a 1st level feat and a 4th level feat.

I wonder if it will still be possible to make a Battle Master fighter who can take all the Knight feats, Fighting Initiate: Superior Technique, and Martial Adept for oodles and oodles of Superiority Die! Cuz, it's kinda nuts with that via the UA.
