Drinking at the Game Table?

It's allowed and happens from time to time... especially in the winter (The Universe will have a Sunkist and rum when he gets cold). I enjoy a Fresca and rum, glass of sangria, or wine cooler while we play. :)

Based on past threads on this topic, I predict that most answers will fall into one of the following three categories:

(a.) No, it is not allowed (because we play with kids; or we've had a bad experience with some drunk jerk in the past; or our DM is Psion, and he's a mean drunk liable to chuck dice at us).
(b.) It is allowed, but nobody does it (because we play during the afternoon; or we all have to work early the next day; or we're all very American).
(c.) It is allowed, and we do it (because we're adults, and we like to have a couple of pints or whatever while playing a game for fun).

:p

There is pretty much always beer (Sam Adams, Pete's Wicked, Bass Ale, Guinness), wine, wine coolers, and Mike's Hard Lemonade at my game. Heck, I can pretty much bet on one guy in particular to bring a case of Sam Adams each time.

in ye olde dayes we used to do beer & pretzels. and everyone stayed over. so it was no problem.

but now a days everyone needs to get home for other committments... so the answer is no. we don't drink.

diaglo "who homebrews" Ooi

But a beer or two wouldn't hurt anyone. We are all responsible adults.

I allow it, but lately I tend to GM alcohol-free. It just helps me stay focussed if I don't drink during the session. Most of the other folks will have 1-2 beers during a 4 hour session.
