Dropping H2 connections into H1

EXPECTED SPOILERS!

Forked from: H1 H2 level overlaps?

I got H2 while at Origins and I must say that I'm gladly surprised by the adventure. Yes, H1 will get you into 4th level with a standard party of 5. Remember to add more creatures/challenges if the party is larger than 5 and you'll be okay. A party of 4 will have some difficulties so you might want to adjust the challenges also for smaller parties.

If people already have H2 or have seen it, does anybody have any recommendations for changes to H1 to make it connect to H2 more smoothly. Any sort of clue or hook or foreshadowing that can make the adventures more rich would be appreciated. Since I've started H1 and will likely be 2/3 done before I get H2 I'd like to get as much as I can now.

Thanks!

Never seen it but in order to move my characters closer to the H2 location, I'm planting hooks to send them to a small dungeon I made in Gardmore Abbey. They had some hooks on this from Kobold Hall back in Fallcrest already so when they find the ancestral sword of the Markelhays in there they will return to Fallcrest and thus get closer to the adventure site.

Is it out?

Also, do you think that WotC will ever put the whole series together in one package with Dragon/Dungeon extras and erratas?

Who was selling it at Origins? I never saw or heard of it being there.

Nobody was selling it. I got it as part of judge rewards for DMing RPGA events.

I'm on travel to Denver this weekend and don't have the adventure with me. When I get back home, if someone has not posted it by then, I'll post a list of minis.

Well I haven't read H2, obviously; but based on what appears in H1 it seems that a major plot point of H2 is a band of hobgoblin slavers called the Bloodreavers who are supplying slaves to a group of duergar in Thunderspire.

There are a couple of encounters in H1 that forshadow this: "The Warchief's Council Room" (Area 14) and, especially, "The Water Cave" (Area 11).

There's also a further tie-in featured in the "Side Trek: Shadow of Kalarel" article in the new Dungeon 155 that is available for free download. The "Wagon Ambush" and "Slaver Encounter" encounters allow the PCs to actually interact with the Bloodreavers personally and rescue a group of slaves that are presumably bound for sale to Thunderspire.

Running these encounters should allow the players to develop an awareness of the Bloodreaver slavers and their duergar buyers and, I assume, permit an easy transition into H2 (although you'll have to read H2 itself to know for sure).
