drow as in mow the lawn... it sounds a heck of a lot mor epowerful than a drow as in your eyebrows...

but it seems by the poll that I hav eben saying it wrong..

as for Cthulu, I have been saying it as Schthluu (one syllable)

I dunno, "droh" just doesn't sound very evil to me at all. That and then my players favorite new pronunciation of drider doesn't work: DROWDAH! (think of the simpson's episode where quimby's son or nephew or something is trying to get the french chef to say "chowdah")

Why care?

In drow society female drows are addressed Mistress and male drows are addressed Lowlife.

The rest of us just call all of them Walking Corpses.

....I do tend to pronounce it like "drau" though.

Until about 18 months ago, I always pronounced it the "proper" way, which is Drow like Cow.

But then I saw another thread like this on the Eric Noah boards...

And I decided I WAY prefer Drow like Crow.

Now they are the Drow - pronounced Droe.
