D&D General Drow & Orcs Removed from the Monster Manual

Hopefully a future book gives them some details. For now I am ok with using Humanoid Statblocks.

It's funny. As every one of the D&D 2024 books comes out, I've heard people say "maybe the Dungeon Master's Guide will have it" and then "maybe the Monster Manual will have it". We can always expect another book they may or may not put out but it constantly gives them the excuse for not having done it with the books we just bought.

It's fine that you're cool with it. No one needs to feel any certain way about this. I think it gives them a free pass to assume that anything missing in the $150 of books we just bought we can get if we just spend another $60 in the future.

They so much didn’t want that smoke that they coded orcs to be racially Latino, in particular Mexican cowboys.

It’s frankly embarrassing.
deleting because I went over the line

apologies for the tone

We finally found it folks: the dumbest comment on EN World.

Have we seriously gone so far down this road that THIS is what is considered a reasonable comment?

Hey @Divine2021 maybe you should actually flip through your entire PHB and notice that there are lots of pictures of orcs, with lots of different styles and representations. No? Oh, right, you wanted to make a point, not engage with what is actually there.

Honestly, how did we get here?
I’ll delete my comment then, cause as a Black Mexican, cause clearly I’m in the wrong here

You really didn’t need to insult me this deeply and personally. Maybe take a step back?

I apologize if I hurt you. I stand by the statement that focusing on that singular picture and judging the whole of WotC's representation of orcs was not reasonable.

Honestly, you're not the only one who got that vibe from the imagery.
Of course I’m not, cause it’s absolutely blatant.

You insulted me and impugned my understanding of my own culture. Again, perhaps you should take a step back and understand why I and others would be deeply upset here.
