"Offer a surprise for our adversary? I have a similar spell of a lesser order by 1. If any one shows up, we may get surprised, but if we start summoning our extraplaner allies, we can create a diversion. Shall we start summoning them now?"

Roque sidesteps moving toward the archer's flank and sensing that it might be good to have this man as a prisoner, Roque adjusts his grip on his flail and tries to knock the man out.

The man is already weakened, and in his current state he easily buckles and falls unconscious from Roque's attack. Meanwhile his four rescuers howl in anger and trot to engage you toe-to-toe.

OOC: Anyone with ranged attacks ready can get a free shot in before melee starts next round. I think that only means John. Rosalia needs to make a move silently check.
 

Grok, Half-Orc Cleric 4

Grok steels his will and prepares his armor and mace to receive the coming foes. He directs Brick the Earth Elemental to subside into the earth, just below the surface, so that he can erupt right underneath Grok's opponent, and hopefully another of his allies' opponents. Alternatively, if Grok's spell is not completed yet, he will just summon Brick four feet in front of himself, and two inches below the earth's surface.
