I would think it's neither a joke nor a brain fart. The fact of the matter is that Acrobatic Strike doesn't allow you to do more with the Jump skill than you could already do in the first place (in regards to Jumping a shorter distance when you roll really high). Acrobatic Strike neither adds anything nor takes anything away from the Jump skill in this regard. It's simply repetitive.
