dumb trip question

This has probably been covered before, or is so obvious that no one has bothered...but (no books anywhere around)

Does a person who has been tripped, and is now prone, keep their dex bonus to AC?
Also, does standing up provoke AoOs?

1. Yes. 2. No

You're still prone and -4/+4 to hit/be hit and standing up is a MEA unless you have a feat or class ability that makes it a free action.

Let's see...AoO's? Nope. Dex to AC? Well i don't have the book in front of me but i think you do. you can roll around and move your arms and legs, and the fact its easier to hit people on the ground it accounted for with the +4 you get for attacking prone enemies. Hope this helps.
