Dwimmermount IC:

"Well that's a why we got bedrolls, right friends? And before that: hot food!"

The rotund dwarf plunks himself down by the small fire, heating-up everybody's rations, reluctantly sharing some of his beer with those that want some, AND roasting those spider legs on sticks after peeling off the bristly black hairs off with his dagger. When the first one seems done, he cracks the hard chitin and tears off a bite of whitish flesh...

OOC: How do those taste, Imperialus? :)

"I'll take first watch."

"I'll... pass on the spider, thanks." says Jimi politely, as he tucks into his own rations of dried meat and traveller's biscuits, and warms himself as best he can on their small fire. "But I'm glad you're enjoying the fruits of our dungeon delving."

[OOC: I started with 6 lamp oils, and lit my lamp a little way into the dungeon so I'm now at maybe 41/2 or 5 left? And down one lot of rations to 3?

Also, stupid question, but how does regaining spells interact with taking a turn on watch?]

"Xotic cuisine s'one of the perks of travelling abroad," agrees the dwarf with a mouth full. <swallow> "Live off the land, brother Jimmi!"

OOC: Planning to set up watch in the dark (darkvision), by the exit opposite the stairs, polishing the rust off the iron key he found behind the Thulian mural to pass the time (don't suppose that reveals any news markings on the thing?).
OOC: I don't remember since I was gone at the time, but did we end up searching those two dead Typhon Fists or not?

Midgrim: The spider legs are not too bad, a bit rubbery, and they definitely need salt but they are certainly eatable. As your watch drags on and you quietly sit there munching away you think you see some movement in the corridor at the far end of the room. It's just a fleeting glimpse but you are quite sure that something, or someone was watching you.

OOC: regarding your question re-watch order Jimi I'm not too much of a stickler for it. I don't count taking a turn at watch as being interrupted, only if you actually need to run around and do something like fighting. Basically as long as you have 8 hours of uninterrupted rest then it doesn't matter what time you are taking watch.

"Urm." He reaches down and then prods a sleeping Gargrim with the end of his axe. "Armor up, brother," Midgrim whispers while keeping a discreet eye on the spot. "There's some eyes and ears out there, I'm thinking..."

OOC: Midgrim intends to act as if he hasn't spotted a thing, hoping the watcher will give it another try and show himself. (I'm assuming Gargrim and the others can't be seen from the corridor right now.)

You wait for a few minutes, watching the point where you think you saw the movement, but nothing else happens. The remainder of the night passes uneventfully and after a long and somewhat cold night dawn breaks over the mountains and you eat breakfast, rested, albeit not terribly refreshed for the day ahead.

"Saw something lurking," mentions Midgrim between too very healthy bites. "Couldn't quite catch what it was though..." He finishes his bread and cheese, washing it down with a thick slice off his dried meat -- spider's not something even he fancies this early in the morn!

OOC: Where did he see the movement last night, Imperialus? Was it towards the end of the corridor, or more towards the left passage?
OOC: Oh, and if they didn't search the two bodies, he will before setting off.

Klyman Sylar

"Thanks for the breakfast, Gargrim -- really sticks to my ribs, alright! But Swimming, Putrid Hades where did you ever learn to make such foul coffee? Maybe I should help you tomorrow."
