D&D 5E Dwimmermount [IC]

Shara looks at the homestead apprehensively, remembering the horrific scene that awaited them the Harthstones'.

"If anyone wants to go in alone first, I would ask for aid on their behalf," she says quietly.

OOC: Offering Guidance if anyone scouts.

Hunter Brightwood

Hunter looked out onto the homestead, they appeared to be too late again; it was becoming a worrisome trend. Shara seemed to be hesitant to go in the homestead, the newlyweds death must have hit her hard. Hunter knelt down a picked up a small rock.

“Yeah. . .,” Hunter said softly, “we may be too late again.” Skipping the rock Hunter stood up, “I’ll go ahead, just make sure you aren’t too far behind me.” Hunter forced a small grin.

Mikel was not used to seeing so much death, he preferred to wait outside while the state of things was confirmed within. He would be ready to support them should anything happen.

Shara reaches up and places a hand gently on Hunter's shoulder, closes her eyes, and whispers something inaudibly quiet. When she feels the warmth of the sun pass through her hand, she opens her eyes and gives him a small nod, trying not to look worried.

"Please be careful. And don't go far."

OOC: I'm sure you already know this, but +1d4 to your stealth roll.

Hunter Brightwood

Hunter’s smile was now genuine, “I’ll try not too, Shara”

Foot by foot, Hunter moved forward his rapier drawn, everyone enters the same river from different angles, he said to himself.

I am the master of my fear, my fear is not the master of me, Hunter said to himself as he moved forward. My friends are at my back and with my friends I am a master of all that lays before me, Hunter said under his breath, hoping that what he believed was true.

The company sees nothing out of the ordinary of the old homestead. Hunter takes the lead and moves as quietly as possible to approach the place. As he makes it too the stead he can see that the homestead has been abandoned and overgrown for some years now. There once was a wooden wall around both the home and small barn but most of it has fallen down over time. There is appears to be no one hiding within but he does see what looks like a recent fire pit. He sees a number of what might be tracks that have also ripped up the ground and a large number of bones shattered about the grounds...

Looking around the homestead Hunter smirked, well at least there aren't any more bodies, he thought to himself. Hunter waved the rest of the party forward.

The homestead appeared to have been abandoned for some time but the fire pit looked fresh, Hunter knelt by it looking at it and examining the tracks.

Magen Brigward
Fighter 2

Magen headed forward when Hunter called them. When he saw Hunter examining the fire pit he asked, "Recently used? Are we close enough to persue?"

Shara follows Magen with relief when Hunter waves everyone forward.
