Lucious sliced open wolf in front of his and then step forward to menace the next one in the cave. The beast resisted part of his Hex spell though. Outside, Shara called on her divine powers to heal both Megan and Mikal, causing the wizards eyes to pop open and emit a low moan of pain. He then stood and calling his arcane training more flames licked over the ogre and one of the wolves. The wolf perished in the flames while the ogre howled but more in anger then pain. Hunter then shot one of the wolves with his crossbow, the bolt pierced the creature’s neck and it dropped dead without a yelp. Corwin stepped forwards and badly wounded the wolf in the cave with a surprising stab with his rapier and then dart outside before the creature could react. Magen called on some of his reserves to catch his breath but missed with his follow up attack.

The goblin archers shifted around a bit and unleashed arrows at both Shara and Corwin, missing the cleric but badly wounding the rogue!! The wolf in the cave yelped again and darted back deeper and around a corner tunnel, disappearing from sight. The one remaining alive outside bite into the knights leg again and tried to drag him off his feet. The ogre seemed both confused and angry at the wizard and cleric, puny humans that still stood up to it, and swung its club clumsy against Shara but missed her!!!

GM: Initiative Round 2
18 – Lucious and Shara
16 – Mikel
12 –Hunter and the Goblins
9 – Corwin
6 – Black Wolves
5 – Ogre
1 – Magen

[sblock=Rolls]Lucious hits and kills wolf 1, and puts his Hex on 2 (but it made its save). He then moves 5ft close to wolf 2
Shara heals both Magen (for 5) and Mikel (for 7)
Mikel wakes up, stands and casts burning hands on the ogre and wolf 3, Damage: 3D6 = [5, 2, 1] = 8, saving throws (INT; hehe the ogre has the same INT and DEX saves ;)); INT saves: 1D20-2 = [2]-2 = 0; 1D20-2 = [12]-2 = 10, both failed, killing the wolf and wounding the ogre (bring him down to 42 HP)
Hunter shot wolf 6 and killed it. NOTE that he is granting a +1d6 Bardic knowledge to someone next round…
Corwin moves one space and attacks and hits wolf 2 for 16 damage (bring it down to 5 HP). He then use Disengage bonus and move 5 square to k8. You only had 5 move squares of movement (as you had to use one to get to the wolf) so you could only make it to j9 this round.
Magen did second wind for 5 (with the 5 from Shara is back up to 14 HP), his attack missed the wolf.

Goblin 3 shots a arrow at Shara, Goblin 5 & 6 shot their bows at Corwin, in that order; Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+4 = [4]+4 = 8; 1D6+2 = [3]+2 = 5; 1D20+4 = [20]+4 = 24; 1D6+2 = [1]+2 = 3; 1D20+4 = [11]+4 = 15=; 1D6+2 = [5]+2 = 7
, missed Shara, hit Corwin both times, the first time with a crit for crit extra damage: 1D6 = [3] = 3, 6 and the second attack for 7 (bring him down to 5 HP). I FORGOT Shara had disadvantage on the first attack against her so I will let it apply vs. the Ogre’s attack
Black wolf 2 takes the Disengage action and disappears back into the cave (moving up to 50ft, note that without a light source Lucious cannot see into the tunnel as it is full darkness (total obscure).
Black wolf 5 bites at Magen, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+3 = [16]+3 = 19; 1D8+1 = [7]+1 = 8, ow hit for 8 (bring him back down to 6 HP) and he needs a STR save DC11 or be knocked prone.
The ogre is mad at both Shara and Mikel this round and can’t decide who it wants to hurt more, so as it has Disadvantage vs. Shara, it attacks her; Attack and damage if it hits: 2D20.LOW(1)+7 = [10, 1]+7 = 8; 2D8+4 = [2, 2]+4 = 8, miss.[/sblock]
Heroes Rolls and Actions for Round 3!!

Magen Brigward
Fighter 2

The last wolf bites Magen's leg trying to pull the knight off balance, but he brings his shield down hard on the creature's neck trapping it there for long enough to Magen to run his sword through the wolf's spine.

Seeing his friends in danger Magen steps up to the Ogre, unable to do anything but present another target.

[SBLOCK=actions and rolls]
Strength Save: 1D20+5 = [15]+5 = 20

Shara looks desperately at Mikel and Magen, both bleeding heavily, and knows she can't do enough for either of them before the monstrosity swings at one of them again.

She steels herself, grabs a tight hold of the ogre's leg, and calls upon darker powers, hating the feeling of the sickness passing through her.

Inflict Wounds - Advantage (Inspiration): 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [9, 8]+5 = 14
Damage: 3D10 = [7, 5, 8] = 20

A rot spreads up the creature's leg, extending out from her grip. As she chants in Infernal, rather than her usual Celestial, she looks up into its eyes with a defiant anger. She hopes it's enough to keep his wrath focused on her.

OOC: She'll use Warding Flare (imposes disadvantage on attack) if the ogre attacks her.

"The big guy has to GO!" Corwin thought to himself. He darts into melee with the brute. He stabs it in th thigh and it roars in pain. He hops away hoping to avoid the ogre's blows, and maybe getting out of the way of the goblins fire.

OOC: Move to H5(20 ft of speed).
Attack: Attack on Ogre, Adv. from Inspiration, sneak attack: 2D20.HIGH(1) = [4, 9] = 9 {+5=14}
1D8+3+1D6 = [5]+3+[1] = 9
Bonus: Disengage
Move to I4(10 ft of speed).

Corwin fires an arrow at one of the goblins. His arrow strikes true, felling the vile creature.

OOC: Reinterpreting my die rolls as I still used my inspiration poiint, so 14 hits, and I keep my d6 roll of 1+3=4 which is what the goblin has left.

Hunter Brightwood

With so many taking damage Hunter struggled to choose whom to help, but one thing was for certain no matter how much healing he or Shara did the Ogres blows would soon be too much.

Hunter took a quick shot at the hulking figure sinking a bolt into the Ogre’s hide, and then called upon the magic in his voice, to grant aid to their leader.

OOC:
Action is crossbow attack on Ogre
Crossbow to hit: 1D20+5 = [9]+5 = 14

Damage Crossbow damage: 1D8+3 = [5]+3 = 8

As a bonus action Hunter cast Healing word on Magen
Healing word HP: 1D4+3 = [2]+3 = 5

1st level spell slots remaining 2
Bardic Inspirations remaining 2

With his eyes still not evolved he must exit the tunnel. Back in the light he finds his comrades still engaged and hurries to their aid stopping behind Mikel and swinging his halbred at the large ogre.
OOC: move 30 ft to i7. Swing at Ogre total of 15 dmg. BA: Polearmaster atk.
[Sblock=rolls]
Attack: 1d20+5 25
Crit damage: 2d10+3 11
GWF Reroll still a 1, moving on...

Lucious raced out of the cave and stands behind Magen hoping the knight can dispatch the wolf so that they can both move towards the ogre. Shara calling on darker powers of the divine touches the ogre and causes it to howl out in pain. Mikel dodges and acts as defensively as possible. Hunter shot a crossbow bolt into the ogre inflicting more pain on the brute as Corwin shot and killed one of the goblins. The bard then moved close enough to touch Magen and ease some of the pain from the knight's wounds. Magen then knocked over the last wolf and ran it through with his sword. He then moved up to allow Lucious to stab the creature and then spin around the haft of the polearm to strike the ogre in the head killing it!!!!

The last remaining goblins tried to dash away towards cover, and while one disappeared behind some bushes the other could not find anything to hide behind. Then the wolf from the cave dashed out of the farthest one and race up over the hill to disappear from sight!!!!

GM: Initiative Round 3
18 – Lucious and Shara
16 – Mikel
12 –Hunter and the Goblins
9 – Corwin
6 – Black Wolves
5 – Ogre
1 – Magen

[sblock=Rolls]Lucious moves six squares to i6 BUT you would also have to delay until AFTER Magen moved as that is the space he is in and the wolf is in the way. You could have killed the wolf and then Megan could have moved up to strike the ogre? I guess I will allow you to use tactics BUT remember I resolve your Attacks in your Imitative order. Then because you have a Reach weapon you can hit to ogre. I am not sure that Polearm Mastery assumes the staff hit is also with Reach. I will give it too you this round BUT I don’t think it does. We can talk about it in the OOC for what everyone thinks. So you did 11 and 4 damage (bring the older down to 27 HP). Anyway this would mean your attacks would take place AFTER Magen’s and you could not know if he was going to kill the wolf or not. I am really hesitant as this turns the whole battle but ok for this battle. Next time I am going to enforce the Initiative order ok??
Shara casts her spell and deals 20 HP of damage (Bring the ogre down to 7 HP)
Mikel takes the Dodge action
Hunter shots the ogre with a crossbow bolt and kills it!!! He then moves to i7 and casting Healing word on Magen for 5 HP
Corwin shots goblin 3 and kills it.
Magen hits wolf 5 and kills it and moved one space.

The two remaining goblins take the Dash action to run 60ft away from the group. They use their bonus action to take the Hide action to get behind any cover available. Stealth roll: 1D20+6 = [2]+6 = 8; 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22, the first one failed and the second one beat everyone’s passive perception. You need a Perception roll to ignore his ¾ cover (+5 AC)
The black wolf comes out of Cave 3 and takes the Dash action to run 100ft away from the group[/sblock]
Actions for Round 4.
[sblock=Conditions]Corwin 5/18 HP
Hunter 20/20 HP
Lucious 17/24 HP
Magen 11/24 HP
Mikel 7/16 HP
Shara 10/22 HP

Goblin #1 dead
Goblin #2 dead
Goblin #3 dead
Goblin #4 dead
Goblin #5 HP 4/9
Goblin #6 HP 4/9
Black Wolf #1 dead
Black Wolf #2 HP 5/21
Black Wolf #3 dead
Black Wolf #4 dead
Black Wolf #5 dead
Black Wolf #6 dead
Ogre dead[/sblock]
Enemy locations
The goblin that was at the top of the map is 55ft past that point
The next goblin down (in the middle) is 60ft past that point, and have taken the hide action (so at minimum he has ¾ cover (+5 AC)
The wolf is 50ft off the map as it climbed over the hill (difficult terrain) and disappeared from view.

Lucious lets out a massive battle cry. "Look how they flee, like roaches!" he exclaims proudly. "Now where is this lead goblin is his head among the dead?" he says picking through some charred remains with his pike.

OOC:
Intimidate: 1d20+4 22

With the ogre felled and everyone safe, Shara just slumps to the ground in equal parts relief and exhaustion. Her divine energy exhausted, there's nothing she can do but sit and watch the goblins flee.

OOC: Last request for Mikel: Magic Missile. Two darts at the goblin with 3/4 cover (for an auto-kill), one at the goblin out in the open.
