Nightstone Inn

The lid of the chest is busted, so it will not latch, but it still closes and after gathering up the spilled treasure Fareon and Halruhk each take a side and start for the front door of the inn.

Stepping outside they see the cart just off to their right, with no one around it. Looking across the square they see the nobleman Darian moving quietly, his back to the wall of the building he is up against.

Pumpkin Patch

Darian moves as quickly as he can. As he reaches the north wall he notices the half-orc and halfling coming out of the inn, a large chest held between them.

Wilhelm is ready but waits as Darian moves to get into position.

Searinox and Buddy watch from the path.

OOC: Yeah at this Point Searinox would still be baffled about Devana's new form though he will jump in if It's needed. Would Searinox see Halruhk & Fareon leave the Inn?

"Hey, there's some of the gang up the road there." said Halruhk, pointing his substantial chin forward, "An' what's that over there? Those pum'kin heads goblins, or what?"

OOC: Darian could have dashed and dashed and dashed again as a bonus action so he could have gotten further around the building

Counting in his head, Wilhelm estimates the time Darian needs to move around the building, then steps forward. One hand on the tome in his backpack, the words to an ancient incantation rush into his consciousness and the young farmboy-turned-warlock recites the words like a wizened, jaded spellcaster. His volume and the intensity of the words increase rapidly, and in the pumpkin patch a dark skull-shaped mist converges above one of the goblins, chilling the area and drowning out most sounds except the arcane words.

Wilhelm points, and for an instance, both pumpkin and goblin seems dead and rotten away for centuries. The moment is gone the next second, as are the mist and cold.

OOC: Casting Cause Fear on one goblin. Interestingly, the target need not see Wilhelm, but it must make a DC13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of Wilhelm while his concentration lasts (up to 1 hour).

"Eh? Gang? Goblins???" Fareon snapped his head back and forth.

Suddenly one of the goblins rips the pumpkin off its head and looks at Wilhelm for a moment. "Fetter Golp!!" it screams in goblin, as it turns to run away. It waves its arms in the air wildly and then runs for the far fence.

OOC: Thought Darian was being Stealthy? WIS save [roll0]

When Halruhk heard the distinctive cry of a goblin, he began to run toward the pumpkin field. "C'mon, we've been missin' out!"

Fareon followed but once he saw a goblin target he paused to throw a javelin.

OOC: perhaps the distance was further than I thought. With a dash, a dash, and a bonus dash, using stealth, that's still 45 feet

OOC: Don't think you can dash-dash, oh you mean move then dash as your action. Then bonus dash. You are correct 45 feet, so maybe your 10 feet closer than the map shows.

Darian hops the fence and stabs out at the goblin twice, giving him a harsh wound but not quite finishing him off.

"Goblins! Ahaha!" shouted Halruhk as he bounded over the low fence and tromped through the pumpkin patch. When he caught up to a goblin, he swung his large axe in an overhead arc.

"Alright then." Searinox dash's forward to assist his friend.

OOC: using Dash to Move to under the Goblin on the Right By Darian

Grinning with excitement that his spell worked so well, Wilhelm decides to add injury to insult, and he produces a dark lance of energy that makes his way to the fleeing goblin. The black magic appears to suck in the light around it as it speeds from the warlock's outstretched finger towards the scared pumpkin-headed goblin.

His excitement messes up his aim, however, and the magic passes over the creature's pumpkin harmlessly.

Fareon nonchalantly walked towards the pumpkin patch. Figuring the gobbys would be dead before he even got there.

Darian draws a deep gash across the chest and shoulders of the goblin as it darts by him its arms still in the air as it continues to scream, "Fetter Glop! Fetter Glop!"

The noise draws more goblins from the nearby buildings. From the trading post four goblins emerge looking about for the cause of the noise. Three have their hands full of goods from inside the building, one sees Buddy and almost immediatley his draw and the items drop to the ground. The fourth has its shortbow in hand so that when he comes around the corner and sees Fareon it takes a hasty shot at the halfling (missing by a mile).

Two goblins come out of a home on the other side of the pumpkin patch and Darian notices it is where the frighten goblin was running to the whole time. The scared gobo runs up to the other two and points back at Darian and Searinox. "Kevun Glop!" Raising their shields they slowly advance.

Halruhk makes it to the gate just as the second goblin with a pumpkin head also reaches it. The creature swings wildly before the half-orc cuts it down, pumpkin and all.

OOC: Halruhk can move he went "after" the gobo. Fareon may walk causally up and kill something if he wishes. i.e. go ahead and take your turn with this new info And Buddy will finish the round.
