So according to RAW the warlock would be limited to 2 pretige classes, is that so?

There is no rule limiting the number of prestige classes a character can take, provided he meets the necessary requirements. However, individual DMs may impose limitations.

Firelance, he's refering to the lack of PrC which have caster level requirements.

Name some.

Sure they can go for non-caster type PrCs... but why would they? Prestige Classes that actually give +1 caster/manifester level that a Warlock can take are really rare. A Rogue / Warlock / Arcane Trickster would be awesome!! But by RAW it can't be done. This is a (relatively minor) flaw in the RAW... But thats why the Game has DMs....

From CA: Acolyte of the Skin, Blood Magus, Enlightened Fist, Green Star Adept, Mindbender, Wild Mage. From CAv: Daggerspell Mage. I hear that Daggerspell Mage is a popular Rogue/Warlock PrC. It might not be Arcane Trickster but it's something. Myself, I see no need for a Warlock PrC. Like Druid or Monk it's already unique enough.
