Todd shakes his head, “Oh my god… that was my dad’s car he is going to kill me!” He stands, “What the hell happened, who hit us?”

"She did..." she says pointing towards the woman.

The girl grins sheepishly, “I am really sorry, I was jumping… and… well I jumped several miles, and well I am still getting a hold of how to master my landings. Oh man, I am really sorry, are you both alright?”

Before Todd can say anything Sam turns and address the woman.

"Yea, I think were ok but the car is probably totalled, I hope you got insurance or something."

As Jason and Charles leave, “I apologize for being so threatening, but in my business we don’t like to have mistakes. Do you think you can handle it from here?”
"Yeah, sure. Seventy two hours to dismantle my life," he says drolly. "I need someone to call me when a place for Alan to stay is set up. And where do I have to be in a few days," he says, pulling on his jacket.

"I suppose my place is being watched and listened too, huh?"

The voice continues, Good, just relax. Please come upstairs, we have much to talk about. the voice assures Jan, but there is an awful buzzing in his ears. The voice speaks once more, Upstairs…
Jan passes the buzzing off as some radio frequency he's catching part of. "Fine by me," Jan carried his light bulb up the stairs and wondered why it was so important to the voice in his head that he relax. He didn't let it bother him. He was just mildly curious. He supposed it could be the voice was afraid he might hurt it with his powers.

David smiles, “Sure, let’s jam!” the game ends as expected and they both get cleaned up and head back to work to finish up their work for the day. David enters towards the end of the day, “Hey Gordon, I got some good news, Dr. Bashar Hudabo wants to meet with us tomorrow, and go over some preliminary stuff, you up to it?”

"Yeah, sounds good," Gordon says, looking up at David from behind the cover of a lab equipment catalogue. "Need me to bring or prepare anything?"

Once David leaves, Gordon will stuff some essentials into his backpack and return to his apartment in the conventional fashion. In his case, by bicycle. At home, he tosses his bag on the futon and heads to the kitchen in search of something edible.

Research tied to these super powers,Gordon thinks idly to himself. Could be interesting. More so than my current research, anyway.

Munching on a carrot stick, Gordon returns to the living room. He pauses as he passes the end table where the phone sits, passively haunting him. "Damn, I really should," he says, reaching for the receiver. He listens to the dial tone, then returns it to the cradle.

"This shouldn't be such a chore," he says, again picking up the phone. Building up his resolve, he punches the speed dial for Lauren.

Vera smiles, “I am pleased that you are so eager. I can’t say who you will be working with as far test subjects, but hopefully Dr. Bashar Hudabo can you fill in on the subject. Oh as a caveat we hope that you can glean as much knowledge as you can to apply to in-house projects as well.”

Vera hands Christopher an envelope, “This should have everything you will need for tomorrow.”

'Of course. Work with the UN, but make sure you pay attention so that we can make the most money out of what you discover. Such noble goals these corporations always have..'

Christopher looks at Vera with some surprise as he takes a brief peek at the contents of the envelope. "Tomorrow? That soon? I'd thought this was all a little further off. How long has all this been in the works?"

Frida blinks, her eyes adjusting quickly to the lack of light. "Wer ist dort?" she calls out to the darkness. If she cannot pick out the person visually, she closes her eyes and listens to the room, allowing her auditory senses to map the studio.

Powers: Darkvision, Blindsight/Telescopic Senses (Hearing)
Translation:
1. Who is there?

Charles just smiles and hands Jason a phone, “Here take this, let us know when you are ready. We have a location for your brother already in mind. He really would not even have to relocate, so much as just moving across town to a more secure and safe neighborhood.”

Charles turns and walks away, “When you are ready give us a call on that phone, we will be in touch.”

Frida

Frida reaches out with her sonic senses and is able to detect two figures about four feet in height and humanoid. They stand just about twenty feet from her on both sides. A voice enters her mind, Please relax, we are not here to harm you… you must relax…

Christopher

“Well it seems that the United Nations and several firms around the world are trying to put together some type of measure to get a hand le on this new situation. You will find that things will be moving quickly. Tomorrow you will be flown to an undisclosed location for a briefing with Dr. Bashar Hudabo,” she smiles.

Gordon

Before David leaves, “Bring you’re a-game and get here early, the company helicopter has to take us to a military drop point, and then we get flown in from there. I guess it is like Top Secret or something,” he smirks.

Back at home for Gordon, he finally makes the phone call to Lauren. The phone rings four times before she answers, “Gordon?” she seems surprised, “How are you honey, is everything alright?”

Jan

Jan makes his way upstairs the light bulb in hand giving off generous amounts of light to the hall as he spots a figure standing at the end of the hall. The figure is humanoid and stands about four feet in height. The skin is a sickening gray, with ropy muscles coursing across its frame. The head is oval like with large black orbs for eyes and a slit like mouth. It just seems wrong…

*FZZZSHT!*

Jan feels a flash of pain through his mind. Followed by several short charge burst that seem to black out his neurons. The last thing he sees is the floor rising up quickly to meet his face.

Later…
Jan awakens to find himself staring face down at the floor. A metallic floor, and his body aches; though he is not sure why. The soft buzz is in the air though once again…

Samantha

The girl blanches, “I am sorry… insurance… uhh… no.”

Todd scowls, “Freaking crap, I told you those freaks were no good! Look at what they did to my car, that is it, I am going to teach her a lesson, she won’t soon forget!” Todd stalks forward.

“I am sorry, can we talk this out?” the girl replies, frightened.

"Kleine Leute in meinem Haus und Sie sind nicht hier, mich zu verletzen," Frida says, shaking her head. "Ich schlafe, muß sein. Dieses ist alles ein Traum, der an durch zu viel Spiritus und Druck geholt wird. Gedankenlos bleiben Sie, wenige Traummänner weg, oder ich schlage Sie mit... mit... meinem Glas heftig!" she yells at the pair, raising the glass menacingly.

Translation:
1. Little people in my house and they're not here to hurt me.
2. I'm asleep, has to be. This is all a dream, brought on by too much alcohol and stress.
3. Regardless, stay away, little dream men, or I'll bash you with... with... my glass!

The little people stay silent. A buzzing sound overrides everything else in her head. The voice replies, Just relax…

*FZZZSHT!*

Frida finds her mind assaulted with overwhelming waves of synaptic bursts but she staves it off with ease. One of the figures cocks its head casually, Did that hurt?

Jared woke slowly, awareness of the cool metal floor growing in his mind. Cool metal. He hurt. What happened?

"Where am I?" Jared asked himself. He more felt than heart the buzz, but Jared wasn't sure whatever happened to him hadn't just scrambled his current a bit. That could have caused it.

Needing more information, Jan rolled over on his back and tried to tune in the BBC. He couldn't tell how long he'd been out, but if it was long enough maybe someone noticed his absence and there'd be reports.
