Emerald Spire Superdungeon: Mona, Baur, Mentzer, Jacobs, Greenwood, Rein•Hagen, Etc.

I'm honored to be working 'with' such an incredible group of talented, proven designers.

One major thing I've learned in the past 3 years is that you CAN play Pathfinder 'old-school' style. It's flexible enough to accommodate a lot. So sure, I'm in.

(My other recent works are at EldritchEnt.com, btw.)

May I ask what house rules & conventions your group used to make Pathfinder work like an old school game?

But we haven't started writing it yet. Given the premise, I'm curious what the good folks of EN World are interested in seeing in a product like this? Any mega-dungeon itches you've been eager to scratch?

I miss some of the crazy dungeon design of 1e, with its crazy traps and challenge that tested the players as much as the player characters. Some exploration and bonuses for through groups.

Safe areas to rest are also nice. As would the opposite like areas where you can't sleep.

I don't play PF regularly; I'm an old-schooler hard-core. But several among my (formerly regular) gaming group have shown me graphically how to do it. It's a matter of attitude, not rules. You learn to escape nitpicky rule-referencing but use the system in a more general sense. One of the core points of OldSchool is "do it fast" -- whatever you're attempting, resolve it asap and move on. So you keep that attitude and jettison any rules that get in the way, using any workable and equitable resolution that takes less than 5 seconds. ;>

Would it be possible to have PFS certs for the Emerald Spire as well?
It might have to follow the rules of adapting Adventure Path, but I'd be a neat unique perk, especially if downloading them was limited to the Kickstarter backers.

It makes for an interesting place to slip in unique perks for characters, as you'd need to find a KS-backer to run your PFS character through the Spire (or even a couple key levels). Backers are suddenly sought-out by players who want a chance to earn a Spire Cert.

My question boils down to whether or not Paizo would be willing to hire Quickleaf to adapt this to 4e for a few of us when you're done? Or several other systems, for that matter. I imagine this undertaking would be sell in other systems like 13th Age, Dungeon World, 4e, Savage Worlds, and all your ACK, LL, Osric, etc clones.
