Enterprise - Dawn

Trip is marooned after his shuttle is downed by an Arkonian pilot whose ship crashes on the same moon, while Archer's search is stalled by the Arkonians' distrust of T'Pol. (Directed by Roxann Dawson)

Woohoo! A new episode! :)

Looks a bit like a STOS episode with the Gorn. Truip and an alien, one on one, on a planet alone, etc. :D

oooooh he said Gorn ... the Gorn were awesome! My favorite race in Starfleet Command too.

I think a Gorn (or romulan for that matter) ship unleasing a dozen plasma torps could have made a bad day for a single Borg ship ...

unlike the enterprise/feds ... "hey lets watch it regenerate ... cool huh?" ... No way man, yes they do regenerate ... but KEEP FIRING ... (until later episodes where it became useless)

if massive firepower isn't working, use more!

okay ... hopefully I won't side rail this thread :-P

I think someone once told me that they were represented in one of the movies in a scene where they had a big Federation Conference or some such. Does that sound possible?

Actually, it looks like a rehashed TNG episode, where Geordi La Forge and Romulan Centurion(?) also crashlanded on a planet and rescue is hampered by a violent ion storm, and the distrust between Captain Picard and Commander Tomalak (the actor who portrayed him also portrayed G'Kar on B5). That episode resembles the movie Enemy Mine.

* Yawn *

Come on, Braga, try harder to impress me. :rolleyes:

Yeah! Finally an episode that has the Enterprise improving interspecies relation rather than pissing on thier sacred beliefs (In refrence to a literal event in an earlier episode). They have impressed me. This is the best episode yet for the show.

While it is a remake to some extent of the TNG Tomalak episode it is 100x better than the original.

It's more of a remake of the show with picard and "unknown alien" that only spoke in mythical stories, since they didn't understand each other. Geordi and the romulan could at least understand each other.

Hmm...

* weighs one hand * A confrontation between Earth and an alien civilization, or...

* weighs the other hand * A confrontation between Federation and Romulan?

Nah, the TNG episode is better, especially the part where Worf refused to give transfusion to a critically injured Romulan that they had onboard in sickbay, and the fact that Geordi had to find his way out despite glitches on his VISOR and had to rely on the Romulan who was stuck on planetside with him.
