I hope that this "new direction" for Enterprise will hold.

What do you mean by 'hold?'

I thought the "new direction," in the premiere at least, didn't even come close to being new enough to make any difference in the way this series is going. I mean, I'll give it three or four seasons before I give up...but I think it's going to have to get a whole lot better to compete with Smallville and The West Wing on Wednesday nights.

More info:
Berman also revealed information about the episode Anomaly, broadcast this week in America.

"We're going to encounter the first of what are going to be more than one sphere," he said. "These are artificially created, almost moon-size spheres, the purpose of which we do not yet know. We're also going to find some marauders, some pirates who take advantage of ships that come into the Expanse and fall prey to all of the special anomalies."

Anomaly sets up a number of story threads that will be picked up in future episodes. "We are also going to start putting together some of the very first pieces of the puzzle that will be season three," Berman added.

Hold as in "it's still a little better than the average, but hopefully it'll get gradually better, if not immediately."

I'm enjoying this episode more then the first one of this season

You said it. I like this new angry Archer. But I thought that threat against the alien in the brig kinda reminded me of Janeway's threat against the captured crewman from Equinox, Part II.

No!! The previews from next weerk look terrible. Not another "Ship crashes in future and Enterprise manages to run into themselves altered" show again.

Name the episode (and series) in which this happened before. :)

Voyager found evidence of Voyager frozen in a glacier on a planet once

Data's head is found someplace on earth or something like that.

Not exactly the same but similiar enough for me.
