Epic SRD

How much do you care about the edition of of the Epic Handbook to the SRD.

  • I could care less epic D&D isn’t my cup of tea.

  • I'll probably pick up one or two but no more than that.

I'm not really into the arguments that say the book is crap because of its lack of pinache, but I will admit it has more than its fair share of balance problems. Character level becomes increasingly less capable as a gauge of ability to defeat monsters of a certain CR; things become too variable. Fights are also shorter, but then gameplay at highlevel becomes all about preperation and it offers scores of options on that front. I have mixed feelings..i could see it being a lot worse, but always beware balance at these levels.

Did I have a real point? Sorry, its late...

Guess we'll have to wait and see :)
Well I doubt it would be a huge seller and theirs got to be Epic Level handbooks in storage somewhere so I just don't see it. I guess I shall have to learn how navigate the SRD. :)

So with the promises of it being incorporate for so long does anyone suspect any epic secret black projects from Green Ronin, FFG and others?

Does that mean the ELH will be printed in a 3.5 format too?

Well, if the demand is great enough to reprint it, sure!

More likely: no. The 3.5E revisions are those seen in the downloadable 3.5E Accessory Update Guide.

I note that some of the changes in the Complete Warrior to the Epic Feats were not included in the SRD update. I'll post a note on the Wizards boards to that effect.

Cheers!

One more thing, it seems that WotC have a policy of spreading updated material around. 3.5 updated material may pop up on a lot of places. I'll bet there'll be more in the rest of the 'Complete' series.

I too am very eager to see what other publishers come up with. I found the epic PrCs to be particularly lacking in anything interesting.

Well, you can look here, here, and here, for starters. ;)

I am very happy about this. Epic Spellcasting has been an integral part of Urbis from the start (it's even available for non-epic spellcasters under certain conditions!), and it's good to see that I don't have to come up with something similar on my own if (when?) I publish the setting...
