Its a bullet
There are numerous items which I just find amussing and Ironic about this idea, and about some of the reaction so far.
1) People saying that it is a bad idea to take a computer game based off of DnD and turn it into a Table Top game based off of DnD.
2) In the link above, it stated "based off the 3rd edition of a popular game system." We assume its DnD, but at no point do they come out and say this. Maybe it is just Mark Rein*Haggen thinking he can write a better game the Johnathan Tweet, again. 8*)
3) Open Gaming license use. This is fun, they can say they are using the Open Gaming license, but they might not own the system, (if they use WotC's d20 system), and they don't own the intellectual property rights to Norrath. So Even if they say it is an Open Game, they are not the ones who own the licences.
I just see this as Yet Another Campaign World. Though at least one that at least half a millon people have experienced at one time or another.
