Even Newer(er) Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

"Such a poor display, brave sir knight." says a voice behind Sharpe "A knight hospitaler should know better than trying to daze a servant of Lauto with cheap words." continues Vermitrax, a human in white blue and red robes, with a wide grin. He carries a book almost bigger than the scribe, and walks with a staff in hand. His dark and oily hair and his black beard covers most of his features, only his vibrant green eyes and his white teeth are clear to be seen. "I'll be sincere with you sir, I need gold for my own devices, and I will take on any task, and succeed. So hereby I offer you my services, as a mage and intellectual. My arcane might is at your disposal." offers the wizard.

Vermitrax, Mage (necromancer) 4, waiting for approvals yet.

Working his way through the roast of the day, Gellan's attention is caught by the entrance of the cleric. Quickly swallowing the last of his food, he makes his way to the table. "You are a servant of He who Guards the Portal? I, too, am in need of work -- and I also hope that you might help me."

OOC: Level 5 barbarian (pending approvals)

a gaunt and feral looking elf walks into the tavern, stops up after entering and says "Zharne Redcloud" then continues forward, looks around sees Gellan and approaches the halfling and says, "hello, old friend, found any new work?" to his friend
OOC:
Zharne Redcloud, Primal predator Druid level 5(pending approval)

Gellan smiles at the elf. "I do not know yet. This one" as he points to the cleric, "seems to have need of assistance, but has not said for what."

OOC: Adventure has been approved!

The cleric is shaken by the bold advance of the bard. He takes a moment to compose himself, then replies to the bard: Yes...well...I do have an task and time is of the essence...I take it that you are quite interested in what I have to say yes? The cleric scans the room and points to en empty table. I will meet you there. Can you announce to the patrons of this establishment that I am need assistance and will pay once the task is done.

The cleric moves to the table with two hands covering the tome. Once he reaches the table he sits at a chair so that he is facing the patrons of the tavern and waits.

Vermitrax walks by, and sits at the table, "Very well priest, what task is at hand, that seems so important?" he asks. His stoic features reveal nothing.

OOC: I have a character in an adventure, so if there's someone not playing I can wait.

OOC: I have two characters in adventures and Sharpe is only level 3, so I don't mind stepping aside for others. ( @pathfinderq1 I don't think the party would mind two healers though ;))

As the swarm of potential adventurers began to form around the cleric, Joy sat quietly at her table, chair leaning back so she could prop her legs up a bit. She sipped at a glass of wine as she eyed the group- and the bait/employer...

[sblock= OOC]
>Not many groups would turn down two healers, but 2 leaders tends to make for long, slow, grindy combat- the PCs are more likely to live, but it takes a while to bring down powerful enemies.

I don't have a burning need to get into a game RIGHT AWAY, but I will keep an eye on the recruiting thread.
