The young human scholar smiled at all the attention, feeling happy to be "popular" for even a moment. Then Gil gets a creeping sensation of dread, Ohmy, you're that Martelai? the color drains from the young wizards face and he stutters before taking a long drink off his dry stout. Gil's demeanor becomes formal and scholarly, Sir I'm a recent initiate and have already undertaken a ritual to free another of our members from an infernal pact. I've been sent from the Wizards Academy Imperia to establish a sister school with the IAC. Veruzak has been all but impossible to reach, is there any way you could help me?

"Imperia is far away and you should probably establish yourself as a worthy member to be able to establish IAC quarters. As to whether I can help, that depends on what you need or want. I am the head of the Bacarte office and I'm leaving tomorrow. Care to join? Just be warned, Bacarte is not for the weak. I'll check with Igors here and see what's going on with Veruzak.

Now, tell me about the ritual. What happened? What kind of pact? Why would he want to remove it. Tell me everything. And write a report on the details of the event including the ritual, we'll leave it at IAC library on our way."

Gil looks down for a second, then away, pulling himself together instantaneously. With the practiced ease of someone who is rejected often he continues, I understand, then he stops, and smiles, thinking to himself. *Did he just invite me somewhere? Yes, I've been INVITED! a giant beaming smile cracks Gil's face in two. I'D Love to come! the wizard looks around, It would only be fitting if Artemis helped me with the story, it is his to tell honestly. Where are Artemis, Lilli, and 7 Rabbit anyway? purple robes swish, and the gold tiger striping shifts, as Gil scans the room for his friends.

Anyway, I have much of the details in my notebook already, I'm sure writing up a report would be simple work. Consider it done.
The smile never leaves his young face, and Gil continues about the trip, I could be ready to leave by morning, the market is close by and all.

Gil became so excited about being invited anywhere, that he spilled his drink. Oh I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry. Gil held up two fingers, ordering himself another of the dark brews, and whatever else the victim of his mistake wanted.

The bartender looks up as he continues drying another glass from the endless collection, Give us a name, and your first drinks on the house. he sets the recently cleaned glass below the keg, waiting to pour.

Very generous, thank you. My name is Corragan. Taking the drink, Corragan sips it, unsure of quite what to expect from it's taste.

OOC: So far the only semi-viable level bracket (for an adventure level of 2) could gather 4 players, wich is on the low side of things, and most if not all of them defenders and controllers. I believe the best thing to do is to wait a bit before proposing the adventure.

OOC: My character (Dina) is a level 1 leader with all sorts of lazylord goodness. I just sent a PM to jsb420. He has Maroohk (jsb420) - Half-Orc Assassin|Monk 1 listed in the tavern. I know he is active because he is the DM for the other game I am playing here. I'll see if he chimes in. That would fill the missing role.

"7-Rabbit? You went there with him? That explains a lot. And these other two are new members like yourself?"

CaBaNa, how about we assume Gil told everything (as in give-me-the-link kind of way) :)

The doors to the Hanged Man swing open once again. A human carrying a stack of books walks in and sets them on one of the larger tables. The chainmail wearing figure carrying a pile of books obstructing his face looks bound for disaster, but he navigates the chairs and tables without problem. When he starts setting the books down off the stack, you can see the familiar face of Artemis.

Bob calls over, "Artemis, you know the rules."

"Right you are, Bob. Artemis Harks. Warrior. Newly christianed scholar."

He waves at Gil, "Gil, have you seen 7 Rabbit? I was going to give some of his books back. And Lilli said she wanted to read some of them."

The waitress comes over the get his drink order. He whispers something in her ear and she blushes. With a smile, she swats his arm and walks off to get his drink.

OOC: Artemis Harks, lvl 4 hexblade warlock (starpact) reporting for duty. And of course ready for adventure!

Come to think of it, I don't know if I've asked them. Lilli was so busy claiming the site, and 7 Rabbit was there helping. Artemis, Help me out on this. Gil starts the story, from the beginning, now that Artemis has arrived.
