Even Newer(er) Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

How intense! Toeto can't help but think about the golem.
"U-um, I'm sorry, but I have as many people as I can take. I appreciate the o-offer."

Toeto nods to the others and excuses herself from the tavern.
"My dear Toeto," says "Harold," gesturing with his stick, "It was very cruel of you to keep these troubles of yours from us when we have been dealing with mere trivialities like dead young nobles and haunted fortresses and such. It bespeaks a most distressing lack of trust in your friends, no? Well, we shall certainly want more details. Just how, er, swampy is this Great Swamp? Shall we need any special footwear? One must have it specially made, you know, because of the shape of one's feet..." The kenku continues to harangue her as he follows her out of the tavern.

"You have defined your own concept of Life in your own therms. I'm not more alive than him, but I'm Life itself. You are punishing a victim of atrocities and abominations that are undead. It is very usual in holy people to punish the tools, but not the source. Continue with your quest warrior of faith. I merely wished to make a point, and it is made." Earth consolidates into the mound he was before trying to join the leaving group.

Death is no penitence, Death is inevitable and this creature isn't even alive. Kamotz snaps at the pile of Earth.
"Sorry, this is maybe your business, but I know something about the circle of life and the inevitable part of death in it. But this thing doesn't look to have ever been part of the cycle.
And 'alive' is difficult to define. Are spirits alive? Elementals? Gods?
What did it do to raise your ire?"

Nate tries to understand what is going on.

OOC: Just a reminder that protector druids won't be approved until the 15th. It is no problem if you want to roleplay in the tavern or get your sheet ready, but you'll want to wait until then to put him up from approval. :)
OOC: I have two other characters currently adventuring, so I don't think he could go adventuring soon, and still work on the sheet. After I finish the sheet, may I move it to the approval page and date the request forward to the 15th?

OOC: The problem is that it usually does not get into the character builder until a month later. So if the class has not been added in yet, people will be confused who do not know much about the material. So please wait until the 15th :)

I'm in the same boat. I want my Warlord|Blackguard to take the new Skald MC feat, but I'll have to wait since the material has not been approved yet.

Kruor whirls around to see a huge lumbering wolf man threatening him. It seems that the only thing that is keeping him from smash his fragile, rusted head in are the people around him and the commotion that it would cause.

As Earth and a newcomer elf came to Kruor's aid, his eyes flashed blue, unable to control himself for feeling gratitude of their sympathy.

What did it do to raise your ire?"
Nate tries to understand what is going on.

"Just now me hurt waitress-lady. She hurt bad. It eks-ident. Now me no know what do. Wolf-man has good intention, bad temper. Me think me should find waitress lady too."

Kruor leans in towards the elf, his arms still hidden under his cloak, and whispers: [sblock=Nathaniel]"Me Kruor, but someone angry me. Me no speak name in front him. But me think you can call me Corey, Kruor hard say."[/sblock]

"Wolf-man, me go. But no near holy symbol, me body hurt. Vampire curse when me given choice." Kruor said, willing to agree to his terms.

The machine turns towards The Cursed One:"Where waitress-lady rest? Me go see her, with wolf-man. You lead way?"

Kruor aligns himself towards the door, noting the crimson trail "Blood still fresh. Me lead way. Scent of waitress-lady and man-who-call-himself-"we" still strong."

And then to the newcomer elf: "Me happy you no see me hurt waitress-lady, but maybe you come see waitress-lady with us? Uhm...me no know your name."

Seeing the construct reined in, Phoenix relaxes, the fires about her fading. As Damen has just slipped out the door, she sends her tiny phoenix darting out past him in farewell before returning the blazing-hot hearth of the fireplace and ordering another drink.

OOC: If I wasn't already running two adventures and slightly burned-out again, I'd almost start an adventure just to follow the group trying to straighten poor Kruor out.

Toeto can only smile at "Harold's" light scolding. "Why do you think I came to see you first?"
[sblock=Mewness]As you walk together with Toeto outside the tavern, she promises to explain about the disease fully the next day. As for the Great Swamp, she can tell you that it is, in fact, swampy. She suggests you acquire a set of kenku-fitted galoshes.[/sblock]

Kamotz narrows his eyes at Earth, but seeing the construct drop the argument and the elf approach causes a shift in the priests attentions. Lauto help me, just smart enough to be called sentient, and its honest. Enough whispering! Kamotz barks the last two words, slamming his flail into his shield for affect, and starts looking from the Cursed One to at Nate, Decide fast, the barmaid continues to bleed while you interfere arbiter, help us find her or get out of my way.

The shifter looks to Phoenix as she settles back in, Could I trouble you to accompany us, If it were just the vampire I wouldn't ask, but I'm not sure of this one yet. says the shifter plainly as he indicates Nate and the Cursed One.

OOC: missed the Cursed One's exit, however he shouldn't "be back" for a few hours after the initial problem. Time is funny here...

EDIT: Kamotz follows after Kruor, but straps his weapon to his side again.

OOC: Actually, she's more like recuperating right now. The Cursed One had already accompanied her to a physician/temple. Hence why I asked him and why I didn't get to RP that bit.

OOC: edited above, missed the exit... apologies jbear. treex Kruor is an RP goldmine, nice work.
