Everburning torch?

Oompa

First Post
I think i overreadt it.. but i can't seem to find how much light an everburning torch shines..

Same as a torch? Or as a sunrod? I would say torch but in siege of Bodrin's watch (Dungeon adventure) it implies in Area V3 and V4 it is brighter than a torch..

Can anyone tell me where i could find it..

I hate it when published adventures don't make sense..

Big room, filled with orcs.. 5 orcs, out of 9 can't see jack cause the writer uses 2 everburning torches..

Smaller room: Should be all lit.. the two torches in the story only show half the room.. again.. monster who can't see in the dark... stand in the dark...

It is so unlogical... Guess ill make the everburning torches turn into normal torches and add some more..

I'm pretty sure that everburning torches produce normal torchlight.

And Oompa, you know that you can stand in the dark and easily attack creatures who are standing in the light at the other end of the room, right?

(not having seen the adventure)

Right, Piratecat, but that assumes that the orcs are simply standing there in the dark waiting for an attack. If so, I'm sure the whole tactics could be redesign to have all the areas coordinate against an assault. If not, then why are they standing in the dark and not sitting around, playing cards, in the light? Would you stand in the dark if you weren't waiting on an attack? :)

Maybe they're replacing a torch?

Of course. But I'm an international man of mystery who lurks in dark places, striking only from the shadows. So, y'know, it's sort of a hobby. I don't know if the same can be said of the orcs.

Actually, orcs have low-light vision. If two torches light only half the room, all the orcs are fine.

It really does not matter much cause the players cant see in the dark so they need to have there own lightsource with them.. so the orcs in the dark can see them coming.. but it is just so unlogical why they would hang in the dark where they can't see anything :P
