Everything Bad Is Good for You

When I first started programming in college I definitely felt like my experience with adventure gaming was very helpfull. (Adventure gaming as in those old puzzle based games that you don't see much of anymore.) Spending hours trying to find a bug kind of felt like spending hours stuck on one puzzle in a game. I felt like I'd build up some problem solving stamina in my youth that stood me well in those 10 hours programming marathons on due day.

Modern games I'm not as sure about, but I could see many of them being helpful.
