First Post
OK, so I've finally got my storyline sketched out in my head.
In the first Age, during the Primordial War, Autochthon, a Primordial allied with the Exalts, forged four blades that came to be known as the Primordial War Blades. The Solar War Blade held within the Orichalcum the unbridled passion of the Unconquered Sun; The Sidereal War Blade contained the cunning powers of fate held by the Maiden's Exalts; the Terrestrial War Blade combined all 5 elements in one masterwork of craftsmanship; and the Lunar War Blade was as powerful and capricious as Luna herself. Using these blades, the champions of Creation led their armies to victory in the war, killing many Primordials and sealing the rest away in Malfeas.
Near the end of the First Age, the Deathlords were created by the Malfeans in the Underworld. The Deathlords and the Malfeans remembered well the power of the Primordial War Blades so, to give themselves an ace against the dead Primordials, the Mask of Winters, supreme among the Deathlords, crafted 4 Soul Swords to give to his champions for the day when he would rule Creation and return to the Underworld to slay the Malfeans. Soul Mirror, a twisted soulsteel reflection of the Sidereal War Blade, able to control the fate of a soul even after death; Soul Crusher, the mirror of the Solar War Blade, able to destroy the will of an opponent, leaving him without passion, waiting for the release of death; Soul Slayer, the counterpart of the Terrestrial War Blade, releasing the fury of the Underworld in a blast that obliterates the very soul of an enemy; and Soul Breaker, the dark version of the Lunar War Blade, which cracks the soul apart like a cheap gem, never to change. Thankfully for the world, Mask of Winters lost the swords in a sudden and bold assault by the Fair Folk, who cruelly scattered the swords throughout Creation, where they were hidden by Solars.
