As Razz already stated: This adventure is not setting specific. Approximately seven pages of the book are situated on the material plane. Afterwards you will be plane hopping.

Good enough... I might have future designs this adventure in an alternate earth Victorian Age setting.

Hmmm...any other information to share yet? Had a chance to finish it? I am curious about Eclavdra and her role in this thing. Well, among other things anyway - I am also curious about the overall plot and how Lolth fits into it.

No, I think it's more likely that each of the biggest 2E settings is getting an expedition module: Ravenloft, Planescape and soon Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk.

Hm...I suppose we're still a long way away from Expedition to Io's Blood Isles, then.

"Unfortunately" there are quite a lot of things screaming "read me" at the moment and the newest Dungeon Savage Tide adventure is currently at the top of this list. I will still try to answer specific questions, but I fear I won't have much time to read more of the book until weekend.

So far I have finished Chapter 1 and 2 and I was positively surprised. The new encounter format looks very helpful and the adventure itself is quit interesting. During the first encounter the PCs will get their hands on a letter in the possession of a drow priestress which leads them directly to Sigil and the Styx Oasrsman. They meet Rule-of-Three, a Cambion-son of Graz'zt, in the disguise of a Githzerai (or how the less aggressive Gith race is spelled). He sends them to the Tower of the Prophet, which is guarded by several archons, to gain some information regarding Lolth. The archons will react depending on the PCs alignment and behavior, so the party has three options: fight, diplomacy or stealth.
There are several other options available to gather information like the Jackal sages or the library of the lady.

@Razz
One question concerning the look of the cover. My book isn't "shiny" like other core rulebooks, but rather dull like the volumes of the Forgotten Realms brand. Is this a commong thing in the Expedition series or just an "accident" like the one WotC made with the Waterdeep Hardcover?

I knew this adventure was gonna be awesome! Now all I need to do is make an excuse for my PC's to head to the Prime. I've been planning my campaign around XDP and I've been fiending for some information on it... to date WotC's site has been far, far too quiet about this product!

My PC's will be geeked when they learn they can fight a couple Demon Lords!!!

Oh reaallly. Well, I am quite sure the newest Dungeon Savage Tide adventure is not wielding a whip-of-fangs while it screams "read me" at you, as I am!!!! How dare you defy me, you no-good, iblith worm mongr...

;)

J/K I am not really a bitchy drow priestess, I just play one whenever I can get away with it. Any information you can provide on your own schedule will be just fine, thanks. :)
