Extrapolate: What do you think is going to be in "Complete Divine"

Probably something along the lines of Shaman, Shugenja, Sohei, Mystic, Favored Soul or Healer. Which is currently all of the divine base classes that showed up in other WOTC products. I'm leaning more on something being done about the Shaman to make it more generic (like generalizing the bonus feats).

We'll probably see the Glory and Mysticism domain return in some form along with all of its spells.

Yeah Shaman and Mystic seem right to me along with those domains. Another might be Scalykind or perhaps Missionary type domain

Maybe something akin to the True Necromancer or Geomancer, but with a slightly better spell progression?

I thought a few of the "druidic" PrCs would be appropriate, and those were the ones I really saw as druidic.

Going on...
Feats: hmmm, divine feats are done. Maybe a class of "religious" feats that, depending on your god, grant you powers. Or something akin to the "piety for other classes" feats in dragon.
Spells: Expect alot of DotF/MotW spells.
Domains: I seriously would love almost every domain reprinted. All the ones from FRCS, D&DG, DotF, DLCS, etc.
Items/Magical stuff. Don't really know.
Gods: Expect a few more Greyhawk or whole-clothe deities, the kind that will show off domains and prcs.

Doubtful, but have to see.

True and druids are kind of "divine"

I expect Exalted and Vile feats will be in there as well.

Yeah as well as BoVD and BoEM.

Certainly possible and I'd say very likely but I also think BoVD and BoED might get some play.

That or maybe more new ones or reprints from other sources like BoVD and BoED. I doubt we'll see more Greyhawk gods or even ones from recent sources.

Maybe. But I don't see why they can't use a watered down version. Especially with divine spellcasters involved. After all, what's more divine than good and evil?

I think it might have tips on integrating religion into a character concept, like how the Book of Exalted Deeds described the many ways a character can bo good. Moral motivation is a big part of heroic fantasy, and assuming that all heroics (or antiheroics) are inspired by the same 9 alignments is too simplistic... a neutral evil god of death would have a very different agenda from a neutral evil god of lies and secrets. Just as one lawful good god of peace and tolerance would have different values than a lawful good god of righteous crusading.

Also covering how a god might espouse certain beliefs, but his followers aren't carbon copies. Some gods' clerics might be evangelistic, some might lead by example, some might keep their beliefs to themselves but try and subtly change the world to fit their god's ideals. It would be useful to cross portfolios with alignment (of both the gods and the characters) to determine the baseline for behavior.

Mechanically, there could be feats that synergize certain spells, skills, or combat actions. A feat for following a god of lies might grant a bonus to illusion (glamer or phantasm) spells, a bonus to bluff, and/or resistance to some mind-affecting spells a la Ring of Mind Shielding.

Here's my approximation of a guess

Chapter 1: Classes
* A "divine bard" (BAB 3/4, spells of level 0--6)
* The Evangelist or similar spontaneous cleric

Chapter 2: Prestige Classes
* Arcane Devotee
* Divine Champion
* Divine Disciple
* Divine Seeker
* Several of the mystic DotF classes like Divine Oracle

Chapter 3: Supplemental Rules
* Lotsa feats
* New spells
* New domains
* Maybe updated summon tables

Chapter 4: Fantasy Religion
* Temple maps
* Organizations and religious orders
* Religious events (crusades, messianism, apocalypse, maybe?)
* Divine campaigns
* More deities
* Magic items
* Epic divine stuff

Weeeeeeeee!

Hello,

The product blurb for Complete Divine mentions new Greyhawk deities, so I expect that all of the monster deities from Defenders of the Faith will be re-printed and possibly some of the other deities from the Living Greyhawk campaign.

I support the reprinting of clerical domains, having them all in one place would be very handy for refernce. It would also be nice if WotC came up with a definitve "Darkness" domain, since there is one in Deities and DemiGods and another in the Book of Vile Darkness.

As for the rest, we will have to wait and see.

Cheers :)

Personally I like the Darkness domain in BoVD better.

I also hope they DO make the Arch devils and others from BoVD (Orcus included), have SOME way of granting spells so they can get a nod. They deserve it after all.
