I read that some people on this forum are looking forward to this. I fear this will be the worst of the recient mavel films. (and considering The Hulk that's saying something) Show me I am wrong

Hey! Hulk is a good movie, it's just not a super-hero movie. It's a monster movie, like it should be.

I think the fact Man-thing went straight to Sci-Fi qualifies it for worst recent Marvel movie, but out of those that made it to the theaters Elektra is likely the worst.

So why didn't it do well in the box office?

Are you implying that Daredevil -- starring Ben AFLAC! -- beat out Elektra? :uhoh:

yea, I think he has ya there ranger. I rented Electra and it is bad.

As to why I think FF will be bad, I can't really put my finger on it. But the trailers I have seen just make me think I am right (but what do I know).

I agree. The trailer doesn't give me much hope for a good movie at all. I suppose we'll see.

Wasn't looking forward to FF the movie - although I'm a FF fan (as I guess you can tell). Now I'd say there's a chance, if ever so slightly, that the movie will be at least decent (in contrast to the total disaster I was initially expecting).

Some things bug me, but all in all I'd say give the movie a chance.

Why do you think it will be the worst Marvel flick?

Because the average moviegoer expected a superhero flick?

Superhero or monster movie - the Hulk is my second favorite Marvel movie up till now. But please don't ask why ;)

I hope he isn't. IMHO Elekra wasn't great (not by a long shot), but Daredevil was baaaaad.

I don't know. The trailers I've seen look like it'll be a fun romp and more than a little over the top, along the lines of the first Tomb Raider or Van Hellsing (not great art, but certainly very enjoyable movies). Of course, I never read the comics.

What does that have to do with quality? Using this reasoning Titanic is the best movie ever, and I rather doubt many people would even try to make such a claim.

Anyway you can dislike it all you want, and I don't have trouble seeing why people wouldn't, but I'll still contend it's not a bad movie.

Can't say persoanlly, seeing as how I wasn't dumb enough to watch Elektra (the reviews were truly bad), but I clearly don't share your (apparent) hatred of Ben and didn't find Daredevil all that bad (I may never want to watch it again, but it sure wasn't Mortal Kombat Annihilation bad).

The tomatometer supports Daredevil (43%) over Elektra (7%), you can dismiss that if you want, but it is a compilation of reviews and is a fairly large difference.

For further comparison Punisher got 28% and Hulk got 60%.

Pretty much my reasoning, people expected one thing and got something else. Instant disappointment, hell people complained about Spider-man not being actiony enough, clearly not understanding Spider-man has always been about the complications of being a superhero have on Peter's life.
