That's a good one. I've got an excessively creative player in one of my groups; in our last campaign, he got hold of a decanter of endless water, and seemed to always find some crazy use for it.

My personal fave: Heward's Handy Haversack, followed by the Rod of Lordly Might.

Hammer of thunderbolts, along with a pair of gauntlets of ogre power and a girdle of storm giant strength to use with it.

Booyah! My 1E cleric of Thor eventually was able to get all three items (though, I think it was only a girdle of Frost Giant Strength). He made big dents in things.
