Feat selection for a 15th Level Fighter (Archer)

Plunging Shot seems interesting... although the character can not fly yet. No real need to I suppose, being able to shoot everything while remaining on the ground, well protected. Being able to fly on his own is on the list of things to do... I may have to fork over some extra cash if I come across Boots of Speed or Winged Boots. Two items I really want in the same slot means I'll have to pay for the fancy upgrade. Winged Boots of Speed are going to be costly..... But I don't want to make this about items. :)

The winged boots are probably a good insurance policy to get anyways, the whole plunging shot idea was just a nice quick and easy method to increase your damage. Even easier is potions of Enlarge Person and Strongarm Bracers (latter from MIC and cost 6000 gp). Of course, since you already have your tricked out bow, you'd need the Sizing property to make it large and benefit from strongarm bracers.

I know haste helps you a lot, but boots of speed are pricy and take up a popular body slot. If at all possible, just rely on the arcanist for haste, it's only a level 3 spell. Also check out cheap items in the MIC. Some of them give extra attacks 1-3 times/day.

You probably want to stick it out as Fighter, and as a Wood Elf, you'd face an xp penalty sadly...but I do enjoy archers with a dip* in Whirling Frenzy Barbarian (and the extra rage feat). The extra attack with that variant does not specify melee. :)
*At least 1 level for frenzy, ideally 2 for Uncanny Dodge.

I'd suggest either:
- Greater Manyshot (allows crits on all arrows instead of just one) or
- Knowledge Domain (+1 att/dam vs everything).

Personally, I'd lean towards Knowledge Devotion if you have a general feat to spare.

Knowledge Devotion is poorly written. Or the writer had a poor sense of balance. The feat ALWAYS gives at least +1 attack/damage, regardless of how awful your knowledge check result is. It's really a no-brainer compared to something like Weapon Focus.

I forgot about that part. Which is funny, because I was going to add on to my first post asking if he's a human and can take Able Learner, "and with that you could invest in Knowledge skills and use Knowledge Devotion."

I seem to remember there was an incarnum soulmeld that was pretty good for archers. Take Shape Soulmeld and you're good to go.

You could also look in Bo9S at Martial Study and Martial Stance. There are some KILLER stances in there, such as Blood in the Water.

A level of Ranger wouldn't lose any BaB and wouldn't have any Multi class penalties since it's wood elves favored class.

It would Boost Reflex saves and keep up Fort saves, give extra skill points (and spot is a class skill), Favored Enemy Undead sound like it would be a good boost and help make up for them being crit immune, plus track for free is nice even though you dont have a lot of skill points to back it up.
