Fields of Blood: Book of War?

Well, I for one am glad that it's 3.5.

I appreciate companies supporting the latest version of the system as it's probably a better long term strategy even if some customers aren't using the new standard.

Well, since 3.5 is supposed to be backward compatible...

It's too bad that the market probably wouldn't survive if publishers printed different books, one for 3.5 and one for 3.0 but ain't no one putting out any 1st Ed AD&D stuff either (outside of Hackmaster) so the market will endure.

Yeah, "supposed to be," since 3.5e is still a third edition ruleset, as opposed to saying that 3e is still a 1st edition. :p

Exactly how many 3e owners have converted to 3.5e? Not fast enough, IMHO.

I'm really excited! I've been waiting for some solid mass combat rules for some time. One question though, if the system utilizes 3.5e rules for combat, will all creatures and units be assumed to have square facing? This concerns me, because, under the rules would I be able to change the formation of my unit, or will they always occupy a square as in 3.5e?

Thanks!

No offense at the guys who are making this product, but it's as close to vaporware as you can come. If you want solid mass combat rules take a look at Malhavoc Press, they have a mass combat suplement that's out already, downloadable as pdf if you want it now, it's also soon to be released in printform (published by WW, you can pretty much guarantue that it will come out).
