While Hammer Hand can already Push, sometimes a pull and/or shift might be better (positioning seems very important for the knight).

That's not bad logic, but I've found that in general it is better to increase the utility of the things you use 95% of the time and let the other party members deal with the 5% when your choices are less than ideal.

And though you did not mention it, please tell me you are taking Defend the Line. Paired with the right feats -- Vicious Advantage, Crippling Crush (Warden), World Serpent's Grasp (Paragon), and Overwhelming Impact (Epic) -- it can be amazingly effective.

Thanks for the tip, although I did mention above that I did take it together with the serpent feat ;)

I plan on taking vicious Advantage soon, but Crippling Crush and Overhelming Impact is out of reach since the campaign will only play at heroic tear and I plan to use a heavy blade.

Dont get me wrong, all solid choices, but if you take advantage of Overwhelming Impact (i.e. daze instead of slow), does that invalidate all the other choices (since they leverage slow)?

There's a reason why he's granted the 5X multiplier. ;)

Except when I'm wrong.

Then I'm 5X as wrong, damn multiplier bites me in the ass.

As for rules reference, PHB2, side bar in the appendix, don't ask me what page I'm too lazy today to go get the book, but it's there.

Yes, it makes for a difficult choice. But if you use a hammer, you can Immobilize with Power Strike, so several times per encounter you can Daze + Immobilize + knock prone. That's one enemy who won't be doing much for a few turns.

The big advantage of choosing between Dazed and Slowed is that they work well for different enemies. Dazed is better against creatures who teleport or have minor action attacks, suppresses OAs, and also helps your ranged allies more. Slowed is better against chargers who want to be on the other side of the battlefield and against creatures with high speeds who are trying to run away.
