Fighter modification

Bourbon and Dice
I'm brainstorming a character class and I wanted to ask the collective what they thought. (Translation: I have an idea that I don't know how to implement yet)

What would you remove from a fighter if you gave it turn undead attempts like a cleric and added the divine feats to the list of bonus feats? Not necessarily the ability to turn undead, but the turn attempts to fuel divine feats. Maybe actually turning undead could be taken as a feat or something.

I guess I'm picturing a kind of divine jedi or something. It's probably a bad analogy, but I like the concept.

Go paladin till you get Turning, then Fighter. Taking divine feats as fighter bonuses will require hypnotizing your DM, but since I don't think that there are many of 'em, you should be able to scratch by with just the 3-6-9's as divine.

Paladin requires the whole Lawful good goody two shoes schtick. Not that I mind paladins, they're one of my favorite classes. Plus it comes with the rest of the paladin baggage that I don't really want for the class.

I suppose I could do Cleric 1/fighter X. But that comes with spells and domains and all of that baggage.

I was thinking that if the bonus feats were changed to every three or four levels it would balance out the rest. But I wanted to bounce the idea off of enworld first.
