Painting Warhammer Quest: Darkwater right now, which was a Christmas gift from the spouse. Great game and beautiful sculpts. Six models left to go ...

First time using a water effect on a base (it a cleer Vallejo texture paste). Over some olive/greenish base paint it does a good job of swampy water.

Painting for tabletop and painting for display are literally two different techniques - the first is meant to be viewed from three or more feet away which means that up close it won't look right, while the second is meant to be viewed while held in the hand or photographed up close, which means that all that awesome detail can't be seen from more than a few feet away...
