D&D General Flip or Twist A D&D Cliche

The more I think about it, the more I really like the idea of the PCs being adventurers who go into tombs and dungeons to RETURN artifacts stolen/looted long ago. Like, there was a big adventure where The Seven Crowns of the Ancient Queens (or whatever) had to be collected to save the world, and they were, and then the crowns ended up in museums and private collections. But now the Ancient Queens are pretty mad their crowns were not returned after the previous threat was defeated. Of course neither curators nor nobles want to give up the crowns, so the PCs have to steel them and then return them to the Queens' tombs -- which have since been overrun by monsters or the curses of the angry Queens or sundry other problems.
