D&D 5E ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator

Transferred from 1.59 to 1.62. Other Modifier on sheet 1 was 2 for each stat. Lost during transfer. Have magic item which gives +2 to AC & Saving throws. Put 2 in Other cell of AC. It transferred normally. I don't think there is a place for + Saving throw across the board for stats. Please advise.

As always, awe & thanks.

Thanks for the feedback!

Fixed issues with Transfer Tool in v1.63

Using version 1.60 and version 1.62... One of my players is a Ranger (Hunter). The background information displays only #N/A. If I change the archetype to something else, it works. Same as if I drop the 3rd level of Ranger. Obviously, there is an issue with the Hunter archetype but I'm not sure what it is. I can gladly send you the file if it helps you troubleshoot. Also, send me the password and I can troubleshoot it myself!

Edit: My player mispelled 'colossus' so you can mark this issue as solved!

When creating a Half-Elf character, the Half-High Elf race's cantrip trait, gives the character not only an additional cantrip, but also proficiency with Perception. Additionally, both traits for the Wood-Half Elf gives the character proficiency with Perception. But this proficiency does not show up under the "Skills Section".

Thanks for the feedback, the perception skill proficiency should not be in the character details for Half-High Elf or Half-Wood Elf. Corrected in v1.63

Hi there,

long time user of the character generator (since v1.40+) first time poster!

I've noticed an anomaly with my cleric: domain spells are automatically prepared, but I'm not certain that this should count towards your prepared spell count? It appears that the counter increments if I prepare it manually. If I'm wrong, then I'm happy to be, I'm fairly new to the game :)

I've noticed something else concerning domain spells: with their auto-preparation nature, would it be possible for them to automatically fill in the blank squares on Sheet III? I've found that they only fill in when I prepare them manually (thus going over the limit on the spellcasting sheet).

Just something small I've noticed on an otherwise fantastic character sheet. Well done for all your hard work, my party and I always look forward to the next update!

In the Spellcasting sheet, Domain spells are shown below each spell level list though they are not automatically checked as prepared (they are always prepared in the rules). Hence the number of prepared spells count include Domain spells (so you always need to manually select the domain spell(s) and check them as prepared)

Fantastic

I absolutely love this tool! :D
I was wondering if there could be an option under options to automatically put the "average" hit die number in the Dice roll section of 2. Class and level?

Great that you're loving the tool!

What I'm thinking to implement is if the Dice Roll cell is empty and your character level is valid then it automatically uses the average (and maybe shows this in the column to the right). If a users enters a dice roll then it uses that value instead. Makes it simple and no requirement for an option

This tool is the best out there ForgedAnvil so very thankful for all the efforts.

I have a question around Paladin Oath spells in that they currently count towards the daily allocation of prepared spells but the PH text suggests they shouldn't -

O a t h Sp e l l s
Each oath has a list of associated spells. You gain
access to these spells at the levels specified in the oath
description. Once you gain access to an oath spell, you
always have it prepared. Oath spells don’t count against
the number o f spells you can prepare each day.

If I select them on the spellcasting sheet as "prepared", they are taken off and count to the total you are allowed from the regular spell list.

Maybe being somewhat of a newbie I am missing something... Does the drop down "dot" actual apply to oath spells in this case?

Thank you again I absolutely couldn't play now without it!!!

That sounds awesome, one other idea I had, a̶l̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶E̶x̶c̶e̶l̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶i̶t̶, Of course Excel can do it. Is random number generation for the height and weight, or just make it like the HP and make it an auto generated thing or something you can put in your self. Also I would love to help in anyway I can on this amazing piece of work.
