Forgotten Realms Diety with it all?

First Post
Heres a question. My new cleric *for this campaign i decided upon good, since i don't know how to make an undead cleric who gains no other bonuses, other than undeath...*

needs a Good/non-chaotic diety...

here are some choices i picked *which i think are pretty good*
- Helm (just cool, but not very good domains)
- Lathander (greater diety, people love his clerics, Good domains
- Oghma (though not good, very good domains)
- Torm (alright domains)
- Tyr (Retribution is a very nice one)

Out of those choices what is a good one?

On a side note...are there any undead races with no bonuses/penalties? *cept maybe having no constitution score, and being undead?*

and what is the 'best' Evil/non-chaotic deity to choose?

Thanks in advance

Helm is LN, and his clerics usually have Int 8 at most (he's the Divine Watchdog, after all)
Lathander is a good choice, but his clerics are perfectionists and often pacifists.
Oghma's clerics can have any alignment, but must value knowlege, so it's for smart clerics.
Torm is actually quite OK for LG, his clerics and paladins are very dutyful.
Worshippers of Tyr are an arrogant lot.

The nicest are Lathander, Oghma, Torm.

For evil Deities, I like Bane. I have been planning for a long time to play a LE Dreadmaster of Bane, which will be the iconic tyrant, always suppressing everyone.

hmmm...well, i always liked torm, but he was always a more paladin diety to me, than cleric...

Lathander's ideals are right :S so are the things you said about tyr....

Banes just cool....

Well, even though it's Choatic Good and not a lawful, whats the opinon on Tymoran clerics?

Tymoran Clerics? One word: Daredevils! Clerics of Lady Luck aren't the cautious sort, they depend on their luck as much as on their abilities (they think reckless is a compliment).

Kelemvor is the first decent death deity the Realms have seen since Jergal: where Myrkul was just a Necromancer and Cyric's a maniac that neglected his duties, Kelemvor has a professional approach to the whole business and an equally professional disdain for these messy undead that play merry hell with the natural order.

I'm not sure that is correct.

They should take risks, but do so knowing the chances. More of the calculated risk sort, knowing that there is a bit of luck in anything and trying to take full advantage of it when good luck strikes while being prepared for bad luck.

It is a fool that depends on his good luck holding them through everything.

Tymora is the goddess of good luck, not of probability.

From Tymora's Dogma:
One should be bold, for to be bold is to live. A brave heart and a willingness to take risks beat out a carefully wrought plan nine times out of ten. Place yourself in the hands of fate and trust to your own luck.

Probability is more the domain of lawful folk, or fatespinners, not of chaotic auspicians.

Lathandar gets Renewal, Nobility & Sun, and others. These three domains are cool. If you have a high CHA take Nobility & Sun. If it is a deadly game, you really want renewal.

I rather like Helm. Strength and Protection(can't remember his other two) are good domains and grant some nice spells and the granted powers are fairly powerful.
