Zorn glances around the room and mentally notes the odd combination of colors. The glowing orange gem, the very colorful doors, and the crown and scepter. He had never heard of a gem that was orange but perhaps Jillian had.

"Jillian! Find anything interesting or useful? Any idea what ight have caused the door to close? Have you ever seen an orange gem?"

Logan Lightbringer

"I have heard that in some strange, tropical lands, they even have trees whereon such jewels of orange grow. Oddly enough, some of these gems have divots on them, almost like navels, very strange things you can hear when you're testing out a new batch of rum."

Jillian Tealeaf, Rogue9, AC25,FF19,T17, HP37/37, F+4,R+13,W+5

Jillian returns to the door and quickly determines that there is nothing she can do it that she hasn't already done to it. Then she imparts what she has found out about the doors and throne. "I have seen a number of orange gems. None of them glowed like that one."

Garagos, AC 29 (T19, FF27), HP 107/107, DR 3/-, F +11,R+6,W+10

"Is it part of the d@mn color riddle?" Garagos asks.

".....Shinies grow on trees? Really? I never heard that. Tell Grackle!" the gnome exclaims, finally coming out of hiding at the far rear of the group......and into the trapped room of potential doom. His boredom and forgetfulness have overcome his fear of ceilings falling on him, evidently.......

"Where shiny trees? Do shinies grown on trees taste like fruit? I wanna try! Tell Grackle where shiny gem-fruits grow!!! Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please........." the gnome rambles on, jumping up and down in front of Logan.

Logan Lightbringer

"I would if I could, my lad! The sad truth is that I have never seen such a thing either. Perhaps Garagos can enlighten the both of us?"

"Have non-dwarfs no memory?

Uhm

Go back to the tormentor or through the arch,
and the second great hall you’ll discover.
Shun green if you can, but night’s good color
is for those of great valor.
If shades of red stand for blood the wise
will not need sacrifice aught but a loop of
magical metal—you’re well along your march.
Two pits along the way will be found to lead
to a fortuitous fall, so check the wall.
These keys and those are most important of all,
and beware of trembling hands and what will maul.
If you find the false you find the true
and into the columned hall you’ll come,
and there the throne that’s key and keyed.
The iron men of visage grim do more than
meets the viewer’s eye.
You’ve left and left and found my Tomb
and now your soul will die.

So, a riddle with colors. Maybe this is part of it somehow. Everythin' in here seems connected.
" Garagos explains.

"Or are ya talkin' about trees? Do I look like an elf?"
