"snakes, why does there have to be snakes."
OOC: sorry all, it had to be said

wow! Grackle is the quintessenil example of bravery, huh? I wonder if logan is takeing gnotes? [/sblock]

Grackle calls out "Rockmen smash snakes dead!" in Terran, which sounds more like barks, clicks, coughs, and growls since it's hard for a gnome to shout in Terran.

[sblock=OOC]Grackle's Small Earth Elementals: HP 15, AC 17, Slam +8 for 1d6+8 damage with Earth Mastery on other groundbound critters.

Rolled 2 rounds' worth of attacks for the elementals (1 slam per round each). A 13 for 12 damage, a 10 for 14 damage, a natural 20 for 9 damage, a 10 for 10 damage, a 20 for 10 damage, and a 13 for 13 damage. Lotta terrible attack rolls. InvisibleCastle's and OpenRPG's diceroller seems to hate me lately.

1d20+8=13, 1d6+8=12, 1d20+8=10, 1d6+8=14, 1d20+8=28, 1d6+8=9, 1d20+8=10, 1d6+8=10, 1d20+8=20, 1d6+8=10, 1d20+8=13, 1d6+8=13

A natural 1 to confirm the crit threat, so no crit. My earth elementals are awfully fumbly. :heh: :erm:

1d20+8=9, 1d6+8=10 [/sblock]

The elementals are a bit clumsy and miss more often than not, but the snakes aren't special just ordinary critters and so quickly vanquished.

"Someone remind me just how long this tomb has been occupied? How long could snakes survive down here with no food or water? Is there some unknown magic at work here that preserved them alive?"

OOC: You were led to believe that the tomb was sealed for centuries. The snakes are unlikely to survive more than a week in the boxes without food and water. Some magic must be afoot...
