Also, KEn Kirzinger is taking over for Kane Hodder(who's already an imposing physical presence) for that much needed *sarcasm, activate!* 2 inches. Couldn't they have just put Mr. Hodder in boots?
Personally, I think that they replaced Kane because he A.) the new guy worked cheaper or B.) they think Kane's getting too old.
And it should be obvious who's going to win. After all, Jason X took place in the future!
I'm really looking forward to this film even though I only like 2 Friday movies (Jason Lives, the 1st zombie Jason, and Jason X) and I hate the Nightmare movies (I don't find Freddy funny or scary, just irritating). However, I am a big fan of monster vs monster flicks ever since I first saw Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman and all those Godzilla movies.
And guess who I'm rooting for.
As for a winner, the way I see it, it can go two ways:
Freddy manipulates Jason into doing his dirty work for him. Eventually, Freddy pushes Jason too far ( or maybe it's revealed that Freddy was somehow responsible for Jason's mom's death or something) and Jason turns on Freddy. Jason destroys Freddy in the real world (which means he can still be alive in the dreamland if they want to do sequels or let Englund retire the character).
Or the same situation as above except that they go for a Wolfman/Frankenstein or Wolfman/Dracula ending witht the 2 characters locked in combat when some outside force hits them, burrying them, causing them to fall, etc..
If Jason wins, I hope they put him up against Michael Meyers next. Put a final nail in the Halloween franchise, please! They've all gone downhill since #2.
BTW, did you know that Jason met Leatherface once in a Topps comic book? The cannibal clan took a liking to Jason and more or less adopted him. However, Jason finally snapped after watching Leatherface's brother constantly abuse him.
But, when Jason tried to help (by cutting the brother's head off), Leatherface turned on him (the ungrateful jerk

). The fight was brief and ended when Leatherface stabbed Jason and left him for dead.
That's really the only way you could have ended it. Leatherfaced woldn't have really stood a chance since he's just a human being (as far as I know).
Jason Vs The Evil Dead would rock, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
What are some good match-ups? Jason Vs Terminator. Jason Vs Dracula 2000. Jason Vs Predator (talk about the ultimate prey). Jason Vs Star Trek (Capt. Janeway, the lights are out in the holodeck, could you go and check it out?).
Or, maybe they could put Robocop after him?
