Free RPG Day is fast approaching, is your FLGS participating?

I just visited the site and I noticed that Green Ronin didn't get their Bleeding Edge adventure out in time. Also, PCGen didn't get their disc out either (not a big deal there, for me - easy enough to download).

Our store (Borderlands Games in Salem, Or. ) attempted to sign up well before the deadline, and we were told that they did not print enough materials to go to supply the stores. We wanted to participate and were second on the list for stores to get materials if they got more or another store bailed out, and still to this date we have not heard back from them. So, bare with your stores, many of them didn't get supplies. Hopefully next time they print at least twice if not three to four times what they did, from the sounds of interest from stores.

Who is your store? Let me know so I can check on it...I don't have any stores in NC that have contacted me about not getting their stuff or anything of the like.

Next year could the Free RPG Day scheduling people *please* not make it a Saturday? Please? 70% of gamers work weekends; it makes much more sense to make Free RPG Day a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sorry my friend, but Saturday is by far the biggest traffic day for stores so it will be on a Saturday every year.

Well, I am sorry to say, but there is nothing more I can do...two publishers did not send stuff and others sent us less than promised. It was out of our hands...cutting things off was the only fair thing to do because for every store added beyond the 300 cutoff point would reduce the "per box" totals sent to all the other stores...and we told stores they would get 100 pieces in their box when, in the end, the 300 stores got only 90.

Again, this is a first year event and after it is over Saturday, I will work on things for 2008 so we do not have a problem like this for next year.

I highly doubt it. Mine is GameDaze [inside the Fashion Square mall], and the specific store is hardly friendly. I ocassionally walk in when the gamer employees are working but all the books are shrink wrapped.
