Hello all,
I thought I'd come by and give another official invitation to join us over at Circvs Maximvs, the unofficial (or maybe it's offical) off-topic boards for EN World, set up by Morrus back in March.
Here's what you should know about it:
1. There was a lot of drama back when it launched, and it got pretty ugly. But that's over and everyone has moved on. The Circvs has settled down and found its groove, and we're actually a lot nicer than you may have heard.
2. It's not grandma safe. Particularly because of the language. It is, however, mostly work safe. Threads that aren't are labeled as such.
3. You do need a reasonably thick skin, but don't let that fool you. Things are fairly cordial, though we do speak our minds. If you go to The Senate, where politics and religion are debated, that's where the thick skin comes in handy. But what happens in the Senate stays in the Senate. Trust me...I get pelted regularly in the Senate for my damnable conservative views. But I get along great with those same people in other parts of the board. Friends can disagree, and we do.
4. Don't be intimidated. I honestly don't know why you would--ENWorld has far more members and is much more intimidating. The Circvs is more of the Tavern around the corner to go when you're done talking roleplaying here at ENWorld.
So stop by, register, pop in at The Taberna and say hi, and enjoy yourself. It's not for everyone, for sure (and I'm sure those people will post in this thread to that effect), but it's a fun place to hang out.
