Alexander maintains his position, sizing them up.

[sblock] Detect Evil on these men, I understand that Detect Evil doesn't work the same way in Ravenloft, but Alexander doesn't. He'll concentrate until he gets some sort of "blip" on the radar. If they get close to the girl he stops concentrating and engages in melee.[/sblock]

Erasmus begins singing a song of battle and bravery. He steps infront of the chid guarding her from the sight of battle.

+1 to attack and damage rolls.
+1 to saves against Fear and Charm.

Varren & Thadeus:
[sblock]Both your attacks strike true. Go ahead and roll damage[/sblock]

Alexander:
[sblock]The presence of evil overwhelms you. It comes from everywhere....everything, as if this whole world is somehow evil to the core.

OOC: We'll replace your Detect Evil class ability with a Detect Chaos power which works similarly. Its up to you to have Alexander try to use it.[/sblock]

All Players:[sblock]From now on, let's roll attack rolls and damage together.[/sblock]

Thadeus' grin grows wide as he feels his heavy mace strike cleanly against his opponents shoulder. The blow hits with a thick, meaty slap.

"If yer itchin' for a scrap ye've come to the right place...ya hey!"

[sblock]Damage: 7 + 3 = 10)[/sblock]

Horrified, Alexander lets "...what is this place?" escape his lips, shallowly.

[sblock] Detect Chaos on the men, until a blip comes up on the "radar" [/sblock]

Varren manages to dodge his attackers fists and counter with a strong sword blow to the man's back. The hit sends blood spraying onto Varren's face and the man tumbling to the ground.

Thadeus' mace indeed strikes true...and hard. With a single powerful blow, he dislocates his opponent's arm, which now hangs limply at the man's side. Strangely, this doesn't seem to cause him any alarm or discomfort. Instead, the hatred in his eyes burns hotter as he licks his lips. In a low, grating voice he utters, "The fat one will taste better uncooked, I believe."

Alexander continues to meditate
[sblock]You detect no hint of chaos roiling within the two men, but its dangerous and destructive presence is found within your minstrel companion Erasmus[/sblock]

I'll tend to his point of view later Alexander thinks. He'll stop detecting, and close in on the men. Moving up, and attacking with his longsword

[sblock]Attack:17, Damage:8. I rolled damage already so as to not slow things down more with additional posts/time.[/sblock]

Taste better uncooked!!! What the hell...

Varren eyes suddenly focus in on the here and now. With a twirl of the blade he brings it back around for a blow on the...?

What is this thing anyway?

[sblock]To Hit roll: 18
Damage: 4 (5 if it is undead)[/sblock]
