D&D 5E [Full] Tall's PotA Campiagn

DnD is an odd choice of favourite for me as I like non class based characters, low ablative HP systems and non Vancian magic. ???

Funny thing I'm in the exact same boat lol. I did really enjoy my time with the Age system it just was a tad narrow for me.

The AGE system was yanked out and genericized from Dragon Age and made specially when Will Wheaton did his YouTube RPG show Titansgrave. They then released a sourcebook for thet first season, with the adventure they ran.

So is that a better subdual move? LOL Though with an Athletics of 0 I really shouldn't be grappling anyone! At least I rolled high.

Just a question for the DM. By RAW it looks like I have to use a weapon attack to use my SD and trip. I had originally considered a grapple+SD trip (rather than grapple one turn, push prone another, no damage). Would you rule to allow a grapple+SD trip or not? A bit like a body slam.

The way I read it, a weapon attack isn't really well defined. You have a melee attack action, which says usually uses a weapon but can be unarmed, and a grapple, which is a special melee attack. Unarmed strike is also listed under weapons in the equipment list.

So I'm inclined to read "weapon" attack as martial as opposed to magical and therefore allow your SD grapple. As Grapple doesn't do damage, I think the cost of a SD for no damage seems like a fair price for one action.

Didn't think to look at the errata, but it quite clearly removes unarmed attacks from weapons attacks.

Seems like another one of those sillies that crop up in games and I'm reluctant to adds house rules atm, so sorry I'm going to reverse on my last post and say no.
