Funny how things change.
WAAAAAAY back when i first started out I accidentally made a joke involving a certain latin term for Rabbit, not realizing same said term was also used to refer to a certain part of female anatomy.
When I was informed of this, I was a bit embarassed, but I was also worried about causing offence. It seemed like I was the only one who didn't know about it. For a moment I wondered if I should change the strip because of it.
In the end, I decided not to. I've recieved complaints before (people sensitive to alcoholism objecting to Mossfoot being an alcoholic for example) but the bottom line to me is a) if it's funny and b) if it's honest there is nothing to apologize for.
Anyway, if anyone here is familiar with the children's book "Goodnight Moon", it turns out that the picture of the illustrator has been "edited" to remove a cigarette from his hand. Kinda like what they did to the famous Beatles "Abbey Road" poster a while back.
Doesn't seem like a big deal, but to me, it firmly breaks category b). It's not honest.
Anyway, I figured I needed to say something about it, so today's FK strip deals with the issue the only way I know how, with comedy
Check it out and see if you agree
