Elder Thing
I played the original Dark Alliance over and over with a friend years and years ago; it was a great time. I miss that game.

Unfortunately, I do not own a PS4 or 5, so I less this one comes out for the Switch as well I fear I'll never play it. Which is too bad, but so it goes.

Krampus ate my d20s
A little less action, a little more conversation in that game would satisfy me.
That is not what they were going for. This is not Neverwinter Nights or even Icewind Dale, it is a Dark Alliance game. It is a co-op action looter with Forgotten Realms and WotC IP, not an RPG. I expect we will see a lot more of this type of licensing D&D as IP to wider experiences, rather than ports of TT to Console. This is a way for WotC to continue to grow the brand and keep the D&D train running. Who's ready for Rime of the Frost Maiden Among Us? BG3 is the closest we have to TT D&D in a computer game. Hopefully, Bioware getting to do single-player immersive RPGs after the success of Fallen Order will usher in a wider interest in RPGs in general and a true interactive RPG D&D game.

This looks fun. It isn't the most groundbreaking game but it lets you play famous murder hobos in FR. I may pick it up.

Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal
Just read that while it was designed for online multiplayer, the originally announced local co-op mode won't be around at launch. :(

Heretic of The Seventh Circle
Compared to that first trailer, this is a huge step up. Probably won't become anything close to my favorite game of the year, but it does look like it could be fun, at least for a little bit.

Also, I'm pro-ogres on guitars. Lean into that weird $*%?.
Yep. Not every D&D video game should be for the folks who take D&D very seriously. A lot of people love D&D because of how silly and “dumb” it can be.

I thought they already had a tower defense game?
You may be thinking of Idle Champions which is a passive clicker, but not a tower game.

There's also a mobile game called Warriors of Waterdeep.

I trialed both, but neither fits my style. They both were heavy on the IP. Warriors felt more like D&D than the other.

I think people underestimate the popularity of Driz'zt and his ongoing potential. He continues to be a best selling novel line and was recently launched as an action figure. He's not just a nostalgia figure because new novels have come out and they've been featured on the New York Time's Best Seller list including a new novel, STarlight Enclave, this summer and the past novels remaining in print. He also has cameos in just about every D&D game since Baldur's Gate.

A D&D Game-Media-Video with heavy-metal music isn't a crime. I safe you I wouldn't be too surprised if in the future D&D movie a bard sings bardcore version of modern music.

* I like the idea of new characters. Only four is boring.

* What has happened about Briennelle Zaharina? She is a canon character, daughter of Drizzt and Cattie-Brie. Now she should be an adult. Any new about Wulfar's descendants?

* If Snake-Eyes, a character from Hasbro's franchise G.I.Joe is a Fortnite skin... do you think Drizzt D'ourden and Dragonlance heroes may be too in the future? I am not kidding. Of course Fling the dwarf and Tas the kender can't be skin, too short in a shoorter videogame, but they could be "hired as bodyguards". Today you can "tame" animals in Fortnite: Battle Royal.
