Always! Welcome aboard, ikata. You can either fill a posistion as a player or a DM, if you feel confortable with this forum.

If you've never played in a PbP (Play by Post) game, then I recomend that you play in a couple of games before starting an adventure. You may also want to check out the FAQ.

Keep an eye out in Talking the Talk (here) for new games that have the word RECRUITING in the title. Those are the ones looking for players. Then there is Living Enworld, which is always expanding and growing. It's rather new to the boards, and there is no limit to the number of players (yet). For more information on that, check HERE

If you need any other information, I'm rather new here, but I'd be happy to answer any questions that I'm able.

Cheers!

I'll start a new 3.5 or 3.0 d&d game here shortly... would you like a spot?

If I do not hear from you shortly (or you do not reply to this thread) then I'll still start one shortly!

I really want to try once a PbP game, but it's terribly difficult to browse through these threads! All games seem to be closed, full, too much campaign-specific (I only own non-campaign generic books), going on since too long ago, or otherwise wanting experienced players.

I can try a stand-alone game as you suggest, but how?

If you are starting something, please send me a private message or email!

...also, what are those IC, OOC and RG for???

IC=In Character, and it's usually meant to describe what your character is doing, thinking or saying.

OOC=Out Of Character, and it's use when you're commenting, asking for a rule, explaining what you're doing by the rules or simply telling something unrelated to the game.

RG= Rogue's Gallery, the forum where most of our character sheets are stored.

edit- BTW are you italian or finn? :)

Thank you for answering on the IC, OOC, and RG definitions. In my signature, they reference different threads (this is a post in the gaming? thread, as an example). Each game has (ussually) those three threads associated with them. The OoC thread is located in the Talking the Talk board and ussually contains character creation of discutions dealing with the IC thread, so that the IC thread does not get to bogged down with OOC things; the IC thread is locate in the Playing the Game board, and is where the actual game is played. The RG thread is loacated in the Bits and Pieces>Rogue Gallery board and contains the completed characters and nothing else for easy reference!

I'll email you as soon as I start another game... right now, I'm in the middle of a couple things so it may be a couple of weeks. In the mean time, if you have 3.5 material, and looking for something, check out the Living ENWorld setting that has just started. It's always open to characters, so all you have to do is create one. HERE is where you would post your character, and once you have completed it, you can go to the latest Red Dragon Inn thread, HERE! Look for hints at new adventures, follow the links, and your in! Simple as that. If you do not have the 3.5 book (like me) then you can use the online SRD. I do not have the link to the one on the WotC board (since I can not access it) but I do have an incomplete SRD HERE. I thas all the information that you'd need to create a character for Living ENWorld!

Welcome aboard!

I keep forgetting about the Living ENworld myself. I need to get into that.

Oh, and mith is trying to get a Wheel of Time game started, and as we wait and twiddle our impatient thumbs mith is going to give us one amazing adventure, right mith? :D

As I had said, I am busy at the moment starting some other games (I've just started DMing an Living ENWorld adventure besides the WoT game, not to mention creating two other characters for two other threads, and DMing two other games and playing in three others... is that all? Well now I can see ES2's frustration! ;)), but once all of that gets straitened out, I'll proably start another one. One in a home brew of mine called The Empire of Sulmaria.

Oh, and if you know the Wheel of TIme RPG, feel free to post a character in that, because ONCE it does get started, it's going to be awesome!

I just had to second the suggestion that you join Living Enworld. I haven't played in it, but I am in charge of looking over all the characters to make sure nobody does anything that breaks the rules, and I always enjoy having more characters to review.
