Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

Crothian, the show is a parody of 80s and 90s horror serials, sort of a low budget proto-X-Files with really bad acting. The lead man is a bestselling horror author who plays the main character in "Darkplace", a serial about a hospital with a small hellmouth underneath it. It's packaged as a "remastered rerelease," because when originally made the show was too edgy for TV.

Where did Darkplace go last night? I set the DVR to record two episodes, but it looks like SciFi showed an episode of Ghosthunters instead...

I was wondering that myself. Was it a mistake, or did Sci-Fi intentionally not air it? Perhaps they got complaints due to the massive violence of the first episode?

At any rate, I was really upset that it wasn't shown. Those same two episodes are scheduled for Sunday night so, hopefully, they'll be shown then.

OK, two more episodes were shown last night (Sunday). I'm not sure why they weren't shown on Thursday, but no big deal.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this show is in my all-time top 10 TV shows. My list includes The X-Files, Seinfeld, 70's Doctor Who, The Prisoner, Monty Python, and The Twilight Zone, just to name a few. I guess what I'm getting at is this: I'M FREAKING IMPRESSED WITH THIS SHOW!

Once again, I was laughing so hard I almost fell onto the floor in a fit of coughing & crying. This was especially the case during "Skipper The Eyechild", when Marenghi breaks into song whilst mourning his late son: a half boy, half grasshopper who "never stood a chance".
