Agreed. But why one without page numbers? Surely there are PDFs with page numbers (or even OCR'ed ones) out there.


Now that business about Outsiders and martial weapons interests me. I have a cleric/divine disciple that became an outsider afterwards. I wonder whether he should get the weapon proficiencies (although he's an elf, and all weapons he needs are "elf weapons")

Most of them do have page numbers but less than half of them are OCR'd. About the only ones OCR's are the books from wizards. Most other publishers use really wacked out fonts, crappy paragraph formatting and jacked up page layouts, so they aren't real friendly with most OCR software packages. I have yet to find an FRCS one that has page numbers, let alone OCR'd. I've tried scanning my own in, but I can't do it properly without destroying the spine. My OCR software is pretty crappy too, and I'm not really willing to sit there and train it.

A character changing types and gaining weapon prof is similar to taking one level of fighter to get the same result.

As for the Level Adjustment payoff... I may end up trying it out, to see if it works out.

Yeah, but you don't get the hit die, skill points, feats, weapon specialization qualification...well, you get the idea.

Is the idea a new fighter class ability from 3.5e?

I don't think that proficiency in all martial weapons warrants a level adjustment of +1, not alone.
