Gencon buzz seems much less than last year

Seems to me that the buzz on these boards concerning GenCon is much less this year than last. Maybe it was because the Con moved to Indy last year, or 3.5, I dunno. But there certainly seems to be less "holy freakin' crap, I can't wait!" type of stuff this year. I'm a bit subdued myself, as compared to last year.

Anyone else feel the same way?

The big Gen Con releases are mostly non d20 this year so its no big suprise. Last year it was excitemnt for 3.5 as well as the new GEn Con site, but after those lines I wouldn't be suprised if many people are staying home this year.

Holy Freakin Crap, I can't wait to get there!!!

It does seem like there is less buzz about it. Maybe it was due to the Morrus and PKitty Threads made it look like more.
I am just as excited about it. I don't have a purchase I am dying to get this year like I did last year (AU) but I still can't wait to get there.
Maybe it is because WOTC doesnt have a mammoth release to sell?

read my lips.... it's the economy...

i had a blast last year. and was glad to make it back after such a long hiatus.

but this year... i can't get the budget to agree.

all of my rpg purchases are down.. way down compared to last year.

partly due to the increased price of items, partly due to the decreased value of items, and mostly due to work being done on my house.
